Current Duke student here. You can update with our current tuition rates as they are slightly higher:

Fee waiver with a GPA below median and an LSAT at median; there is hope for us all

Neither PT nor waiver received w/ GPA < 25th and LSAT > 75th (with a wide margin for both.) Changing my CRS preferences to include NC to see if that has any effect.

I asked my ug to submit a Dean certification to Duke because I have a warning that won't show up but I know they'll need it anyway. I asked them today figuring at least a week turnaround but they sent it immediately.... Oops
Will this be an issue to submit something for my app early?

So does Duke only do PT for one day? Is there any hope for any of us who didn't get it last friday?

Re: Duke Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
From last years thread:ac8876a wrote:So does Duke only do PT for one day? Is there any hope for any of us who didn't get it last friday?
If I had to speculate I would say they give out as many PTs as they can in the initial round then give out another wave after most of that first group has applied since they have to meet that turnaround guarantee. So I looked on the C/O 2018 applicant thread to find more information on PTs -
For the C/O 2017, first PT invites came out Aug 21
For 2018, first PT invites came out Aug 28
The first admit under PT was on Sept 5
September LSAT scores were released around Oct 20
October PT invites came out on Oct 27
It seems like the stats needed for PT are a bit unpredictable, but it looks like most have either both LSAT and GPA over median, or one over a 75th and one hovering slightly below median. Can't tell if they favor LSAT or GPA more in the algorithm (if they use one at all).
CRS preferences seem to have an influence as well. Someone with v good stats didn't receive a PT invite, then said they changed their CRS preferences to reflect Duke (I assume by saying they liked NC) and received an invite very shortly after.
Based on the Duke Admission results spreadsheet for last years cycle (found at the top of the LS Accept/WL/Denial thread) it looks like about 80% of TLSers than get PT are admitted and 11% wait listed. no data on denials.
Hope this helps!!

Is anyone else having trouble entering ECs? After each entry, it gives me the 'you have multiple tabs open' error message and forces me to go out, close Safari, and go back in, but it has yet to save any progress. It's making a simple part of the application quite Sisyphean.

I haven't started applying yet, but in anything tech related, Safari always gives trouble. Try using a different browser. That may not help, but it's always worth a try.mathaddict wrote:Is anyone else having trouble entering ECs? Thanks. I should've had the good sense to download Chrome soonercaitlinrw wrote:I haven't started applying yet, but in anything tech related, Safari always gives trouble. EDIT: Same thing happens in Chrome. Ugh.
EDIT2: If anyone cares, it resolved itself.
