Any disadvantage of not withdrawing from wait lists?

Hi everyone,
I am currently wait listed at two Top 6 schools. If I don't receive scholarships from these two schools, I won't attend. Is there any disadvantage to not withdrawing from the wait lists? If they reject me, would it ever affect me in job interviews?
Thank you.

Nope. There is no disadvantage. No one would ever ask or care.

Thank you for the reply. Any additional comments? Should I withdraw or wait for their responses of acceptance or rejection?

Why would you withdraw before you get your final decision? You applied to these schools so I suppose you have some desire to attend these? Also, just because you were waitlisted does not mean you will not get any scholarship money...

But only stay on if you'd actually go. Like, it's sort of a dick move to sit on the waitlist just to see if you could get in. It screws over the other students who would jump at the call.

No disadvantage for you, but could potentially be the spot for someone else that wants to go!
