Thanks! I didn't interview because I visited before I submitted my application and sat down with an admissions officer and I did include a "Why UVA" in the original.gardenia wrote:Congratulations!! Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Hey all. My file went complete on 9/22 and I've been UR1 since 9/27. I haven't heard anything since late September. My numbers are between 25th-50th percentile for both. Is there a chance they just forgot about me/lost my application? I was eager to apply early so that I would hear back early but clearly that backfired since it has been 4 months without a peep. HELP!!!

Accepted yesterday during my interview with Assistant Dean, C. Faulk. Very relaxed and a great experience. Made me want to attend UVA even more!

Same here. UR since 9/22. I just assumed that put me in the auto waitlist pile because I'm a splitter. It doesn't look like they've done much WL so far.doritoslocostacos316 wrote:Hey all. Yeah I think the interviews they do are very smart. It seems all their adcomms are very friendly and fun, so it absolutely gives a sense of the charm of the school itself.SUNY1995 wrote:Accepted yesterday during my interview with Assistant Dean, C. Has anyone started negotiating scholarships yet? If so, any luck or guidance?

Hi all, congrats to those who have been admitted! For those of you still waiting, don't lose hope - lots of time for things to still fall in place!
I got a question via PM about deferring after I mentioned it in an earlier post in this thread and wanted to throw it out there again as more people may be considering it at this point. I had a great experience working with UVA on my deferral and would be happy to answer questions anyone has about it.
Best of luck to you all. Go Hoos!

Just read through the UVA 2019 thread, and it seems UVA doesn't negotiate. Even if you get nothing.thg1870 wrote:Has anyone started negotiating scholarships yet? If so, any luck or guidance? Got my scholarship letter a week ago, and it was lower than offers I've gotten from other T14s. But I'm dying to make it official with UVA.

Waitlist. I'm absolutely ecstatic with this since this is a huge reach for me.

In today but no word on money yet. Annoying, because money will be the sole determining factor in where I go to school.

Dinged after interviewing... guess they really didn't like me haha. Oh well, my mom says I'm charming.
