Sorry--I seem to be on the later end for those who got interviews though, so I wouldn't read too much into it. They probably don't have a strict cut-off date.Keilz wrote:Congrats, but damn for me :'(shoparoundthecorner wrote:Invited to interview--not sure exactly when I went UR, but I went submitted and went complete 9/28.Keilz wrote:Anyone invited to interview who went UR 9/27 or later? Earliest I saw was next week. I opted for two weeks out because I'm weird and want tons of time to calm my nerves.potterotter wrote:Were there any slots for this week? When I signed up, the earliest slots were for next week.

Didn't apply to Chicago but that sounds like an amazing interview opportunity. So much to talk about/reflect as long as you figure out which candidate your interviewer was supporting.pretzeltime wrote:Is anyone brave/weird enough to take the 8am slot the morning after the election? Talk about high risk/reward. I remember reading somewhere on here that an interviewee talked about Bernie Sanders with their interviewer and they hit it off. I tend to try and stay away from getting too political in interviews but guess it works out sometimes!Thelaw23 wrote:Didn't apply to Chicago but that sounds like an amazing interview opportunity. What I want to know is what kind of interviews these are if politics is coming up at all...?SilverSurfer2020 wrote:Talk about high risk/reward. I'm currently scrolling last year's thread trying to get an idea of what to expect from the interview. You don't happen to have a link/good place to look for past questions, etc, do you?pretzeltime wrote:Mmmm Chi interviews are notoriously tough/weird so I am prepared for anythingairwrecka wrote:What I want to know is what kind of interviews these are if politics is coming up at all...?SilverSurfer2020 wrote:Talk about high risk/reward. Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Maybe search "Chicago interview" or something? IDK, I think I heard about this IRL. They don't smile or encourage you, they ask surprising hypothetical questions, and so on....I had a friend who chuckled in the interview and the interviewer chastised her and said it wasn't appropriate
IDK tho, IDK if it's 100% of interviews or only some of them...

Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Just kidding! I found the list! C&P from last year's thread:
Why law?
Why law now?
Why Chicago?
What am I doing between now and law school (I was a December graduate from UG)?
Resume related questions (questions about specific items or bullet-points on your rezzy).
Have you ever had a time when you were out of your element or comfort zone?
What is your greatest accomplishment?
If you could go back in time and redo one thing in your life, what would it be?
Discuss a memorable class or moment in a class.
Why did you choose your undergrad?
What is your preferred work style?
What do you do in your free time?
How would your professors describe you?
How would your peers describe you?
How would your coworkers describe you?
Do you have any questions for me?
"Who most influenced your decision to go to law school?"
Tell me about a challenge you faced?
Tell me about your current job.
Any points you want me to especially emphasize with the admissions committee?
"What is on your bucket list?"
If you could have a conversation with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why?
