Thanks! When I called a few weeks back I was told that June was too late. I'm glad someone else got confirmation!eck456 wrote:When I was at Harvard last week for the Kennedy school admit day they said they would consider the June score

Did you send it via email or snail mail?

Sent via email; they replied directly to the email and said they'd add it to my file.dodgers225 wrote:lizzyluna wrote:I sent my LOCI in April 6th, and got confirmation of it today. Also got the update email that everyone else got.

I deposited at UVA. I sent an LOCI with a resume update in it today. I've kind of decided that if I don't hear anything from HLS next month I'm going to withdraw though. I'm moving a house and family and I can't do that again last minute.freakingoutlalala wrote:where's everyone depositing as they wait?

Columbia. Not at all disappointed but to continue living in Boston sure would be nice.

Yeah IMO you're overthinking it. The purpose of a LOCI is to let the school know you're still interested and would attend if admitted. That is basically all you have to say. Include resume updates and other tangible improvements as well, but that's it.

My LOCI consisted of: why they should choose me, why harvard lawpapersnowaghost wrote:trenhardeatclen wrote:I addressed mine to JS and the admissions committee.papersnowaghost wrote:who did you guys address your LOCI to? a specific person or the admission committee in general? or just to whom it may concern?

thank you!
also - do you all think it's ok to reference something i talked about in my personal statement in my LOCI without giving all the background that i gave in my personal statement? in other words, do you think it will be the same person/people reading my LOCI that read my application originally, or will it be a different person who will be confused and not understand why i'm mentioning that topic? or the same person, but they've ready so many applications that they won't remember it?
I don't think it's too big of a deal to include some personal statement content. I did at least lol. It was brief, though.

Anyone have predictions on when we'll start to see movement from the waitlist?

Last year looked like:pint wrote:Anyone have predictions on when we'll start to see movement from the waitlist?
First WL JS1s reported May 7th
(No JS1bs except for international)
First JS2s reported May 20th
First dings reported June 18
Previous year was:
First WL JS1s reported May 6th.
First JS1bs reported May 13th
First JS2s reported May 15th (went to both those with JS1bs on the 13th and those with post-WL JS1s)
First dings reported June 17th

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2019 Waitlist
This thread has been really helpful and I feel guilty for lurking for so long, but checking in! Received active waitlist status confirmation last week.
I haven't sent in a LOCI yet. Do you think visiting campus is helpful at all, just to be able to say I did? Or is a trip totally redundant given the fact that I have accepted a spot on the waitlist?

Yes-- last year the JS1b was incorporated into the JS1 (if you had a post WL JS1) or JS2 (if you had a pre WL JS1)kr2 wrote:To clarify the lingo - JS1bs are calls to those who have already had interviews, to confirm interest, correct?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
