My understanding is that the priority list is largely made up of folks with stats that enable them to attend a "better" school, thus setting off Emory's YP warning bells (which is also why they've said that scholarship would likely be available to those who get in off the priority list). Then the regular wait list like a "true" waitlist, where they'll pull from it once admitted students start putting deposits down and Emory gets a better feel for how many open spots they'll have in the class. I'm on the regular list too, so if you're not on priority, you're still in good company!eiffel61 wrote:What is the priority list and how does one get on it?
Out of curiosity - what event on the 8th are you referring to? I haven't heard of an event at Emory on the 8th, but I'm not on the waitlist so I was wondering if it's a waitlist only thing?rxu1107 wrote:same here. I'm on priority list. Anyone planning to go to the event on April 8th?
I believe it's for people on the PWL only according to the email I got.njkga wrote:Out of curiosity - what event on the 8th are you referring to? Good compay but no hope of scholarship?DorcasPond wrote:My understanding is that the priority list is largely made up of folks with stats that enable them to attend a "better" school, thus setting off Emory's YP warning bells (which is also why they've said that scholarship would likely be available to those who get in off the priority list). My guess is that us getting any substantial amount of scholarship is unlikely...but this is also just what I'm thinking, so it shouldn't be taken as gospel truthyenisey wrote:Good compay but no hope of scholarship?DorcasPond wrote:My understanding is that the priority list is largely made up of folks with stats that enable them to attend a "better" school, thus setting off Emory's YP warning bells (which is also why they've said that scholarship would likely be available to those who get in off the priority list).
