This is true. I am at least thankful that my LSAT still makes me a credible applicant at many great schools, even if my GPA means I'm not the most qualified candidate they'll get an app from. Another glass half full: we have law school to remake our GPAs. We aren't going to make the same mistakes twice!
But for real I tell all younger students considering law school that they can't be complacent about their GPA like I was

Caught my second WL today. Clearly my positivity was a jinx. I guess this means I should resume doomsaying and negativity with everyone else. Sanity is overrated anyway.capricasixx wrote:You might be the only sane person left on TLS.HawkeyeVodka34 wrote:

Only 2 left for me now - NYU and HLS. Don't expect anything better than WL in either case and (unfortunately) don't expect to hear it this week. Here's to hoping, though.HawkeyeVodka34 wrote:Who is everyone hoping to hear from this week?
Still waiting on financial aid from 5/10 schools, though soooooo.....that, I guess.

Georgetown, Umaryland, and fordham are my last big guns left. The other three are trivial.

What's your split like there? I'm above 75 LSAT by a few and below 25 GPA by only like .03. I've missed two FR waves and I'm getting worried.drblakedowns wrote:I hear back from my Berkeley FR on the 26th. LSAT above 75th, gpa below 25th (173, 3.27).ProductofUnreality wrote:What's your split like there? I'm above 75 LSAT by a few and below 25 GPA by only like .03. Re: Splitters in Limbo
It's getting to the point in the cycle where I really wish I hit my PT score instead of 8 points lower. Night shift started to linger when I couldn't focus on the last section and pretty much knocked myself out of the 170's into the mid 160's with almost the entire last half of the section wrong. My gpa is mediocre in the context of law school applicants, and I'm expecting a few disappointments coming my way soon =/

Holy hell. Although TBH I'd rather the WLs start rolling in at this point... I got my apps in at the last minute so I'm just sitting here listening to the deafening silence.jaywhy wrote:

Re: Splitters in Limbo
I am still waiting on 6/14 schools and I applied as soon as the December scores came out. The 8 I heard from so far are a mixture of dings/admits/WL (3/4/1) so this wait is driving me nuts because I know time isn't indicative of a certain result, so I just want closure at this point. I can't make a decision with so many responses up in the air. This process is definitely one that tests your patience.

Anybody here still waiting on UT? I've been complete since 12/1, and it seems like every other splitter on these boards has already gotten in.

Just waiting on UVA and NYU here. Got dings at Berkeley and Columbia and W/L at Penn and Michigan. At least Georgetown accepted me relatively quickly.

Re: Splitters in Limbo
Is there any functional difference between Columbia's 'hold' and NYU's "your application remains under review" email, besides Columbia suggesting a LOCI?
