UPenn Waitlist with scores below both medians. Help me?

Taking a chance asking this, but I'm wondering what my best strategy is for getting off the Penn waitlist.
I'm not sure why I wasn't dinged right away. I am below both medians, non-URM, white middle class male. I don't provide much of a statistical benefit for them in anyway.
However, I am really interested in Penn. I would easily accept if I were admitted, and would love to convince the adcom to somehow pick me over splitters/URMs/etc. I know there is a great deal of luck, but out of the things I can control, I was thinking: LOCI, LOR, visit? Is a phone call too much? I'm not sure what else to do.
Thanks for any advice!

Did you apply ED? If you're that willing to attend, perhaps ask them to reconsider your app under ED II?

I like this. Shows you're truly interested in Penn over any other school. Even if they deny the request, your interest will surely be noted and you can still send a LOCI and perhaps visit to really stand out. Good luck!

This sounds smart. Definitely give this a try, OP. Best of luck!

I'm glad I was useful!! Just curious though - if you were set on Penn, would go despite financial aid, and were below both medians, why didn't you ED in the first place? Just wondering - no disrespect at all!

Partially naive to the admissions process, partially because I EDd undergrad and my family encouraged me to apply to many places and have no regrets not throwing in a yale mary app. I am TFA so the fee waivers we get certainly made it easier to apply to many schools. I was close to EDing at Penn though
