Didn't see one of these so I thought I'd start it!
I went complete 10/28 then status date changed to 11/21. No movement since then.

Sounds like you'd better contact the admissions staff. I submitted the application on 12/20 and was admitted on 01/07.

I ended up getting in on 12/18 with a $36,000 scholarship! I just never posted it here because it didn't seem like anyone else was paying attention to the Loyola Chi forum. Thanks for checking in, though!

In with 32k/year scholarship.
Its not one of my main targets and the scholarship is a bit smaller than I hoped for so I'm probably leaning away from it at this point.

If you don't mind me asking. what where your numbers?
for me, the application was more of a strategic play to try to get more money from other schools

Same goal for me too actually. I wouldn't mind ending up at Loyola at all, but its not my main focus.
GPA: 3.2 , LSAT 165

Hmm, just tried to negotiate with Loyola using better offers from similar and higher ranked schools (Cardozo, W&L, Houston) but they refused to budge. They were my first negotiation attempt since they have the smallest offer after considering tuition/CoL. To be honest, I wasn't expecting that at all.
So just a heads up if you're trying to increase their offer before approaching your top choice.

Loyola is a regional school. In order to effectively negotiate you need offers from schools in the same region with an equal or better ranking.

Yeah I was only planning to use my 75k(unconditional) scholarship from DePaul to negotiate with LUC. Any thoughts? Is DePaul too low in the rankings for Loyola to care?

You may not be successful but you should definitely try. 25k per year is a lot and they may come up some. What was there original offer? I will tell you that my offer from Loyola was considerably lower than Illinois and Kent both of which were unconditional. Did you apply to either of those schools?

Yeah, I understand. Loyola was my safety though so I had no desire to apply to other schools in the region just for scholarship purposes.
But I will say, searching previous cycle information here on TLS, I wasn't able to find anyone that negotiated for more money. It seems everyone got an almost identical form email that I received. So take that as you will.

No, I did not apply to any other school in the region. I applied super late to Loyola and early to DePaul so I am thinking that maybe if some money frees up at Loyola they may match DePaul's offer. Loyola's original offer was 20k/year(2.8 stipulation).

You are not Loyola folk. Focus on WUSTL or Northwestern

After a great visit I am seriously considering Loyola. Does anyone else know that this is where they want to go?

I'm considering Loyola heavily, but am waiting on WUSTL. Only thing holding me back from Loyola is that UIUC gave a more generous scholarship and seems to have better placement in Chicago. Loyola is an awesome environment though.

UIUC is great too! I really liked Loyola's location compared to UIUC, but they do not negotiate so I wouldn't expect them to match UIUC's offer for you.

You mentioned that the employment outlook is so-so in the other thread. Was that in reference to BIGLAW only? How do Loyola grads fair in the PI/Government sector. During my visit the dean of admissions focused a lot on their ties to the government. Are these ties as strong as she made them sound?

They don't negotiate at all? I know they wouldn't listen if I used a DePaul scholarship or W&M/BC. At this point I just want 4k more a year from them. One thing I would say to the negative is that the law building has a very undergrad feeling to it. Lots of classes and a lot of people at the library are business undergrads.

They told me that because they do not have stipulations and they give out so much money that they do not negotiate. I have also seen it in other threads that a few people have tried and gotten the same "Sorry, but no" email. It can't hurt to ask, but be prepared for a hard no.
I think you are right about the law building. There was a slight undergrad feel to it, but I do not think that has a any real impact on my decision.
