Re: Cardozo Law C/O 2019 Applicants
Accepted. 6k renewable Dean's Merit Scholarship, if I start in May instead of Fall. They're giving me two weeks to decide to enroll for May when I'm still waiting to hear from six more schools. The only other school I heard from so far is NYLS which is offering $25k a year. Is Cardozo's reputation worth accepting enrollment at the low scholarship offer?

A lot of the 2Ls and 3Ls said they wished they took the May-entry option. You can dedicate a lot more time to each class instead of worrying about 3 major courses at a timetezzeret wrote:I am. I think they emailed about the may program if you accepted with a pdf attachment of a tentative schedule, I don't have it in front of me but it was late May, like 23rd or something, and the schedule seemed to be Monday through Thursday during the morning.

I was wait listed for Fall 1/22, but then was able to apply for May-entry 2/12 and still haven't heard anything (plus you can't use status checker to see updates for the 2nd app), has anybody heard from them that are in a similar situation? In fact, has anyone on the wl heard anything?

I emailed the DOA at the end of January and then again in Feb with an updated offer. Still waiting...brooklopez wrote:Re: Scholarship negotiation--the DOA said they'll get back to me "hopefully by the end of march"

Still no official word since Friday. I did get an email subject title: "Cardozo - Student Finance - Consent to Participate in Electronic Transactions" though...

Can I ask why you are choosing brooklyn over 'dozo?UDtoLawSchool wrote:Just received an increased scholarship from 30K/year to 35K/year. Will be withdrawing to attend Brooklyn.

Re: Cardozo Law C/O 2019 Applicants
After going to both of their ASD I got the feeling that Brooklyn really cares about all of the students, where as Cardozo seemed to have an elitist personality and seemed rather rude. I got the feeling that if you aren't towards the top of the class, they don't care about you. Even with the drop in rankings for Brooklyn I felt very confident there after talking to so many students. There is so much more to get involved with at Brooklyn, tuition is cheaper, the location near all of the courts is unbeatable, the employment prospects are practically the same, and the housing is cheaper and much nicer.Kk11 wrote:Can I ask why you are choosing brooklyn over 'dozo?UDtoLawSchool wrote:Just received an increased scholarship from 30K/year to 35K/year. Its funny because before Brooklyn's ASD I thought I was going to Cardozo. Definitely not the case anymore.

Got an increased scholarship from 50k/year to 52k/year. Cardozo has made it to my final three... still no idea yet.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
