Definitely not a confidence booster, but it's not too out of the ordinary for them. I listed the full time, long term bar passage required employment % 10 months out from the past few years. The 71.6% from 2014 looks to be an unusually high year for them (prob not the norm). For the tuition costs, market location, and ranking their numbers are decent. I wouldn't sweat it

2015: 63.81%
2014: 71.6%
2013: 66.2%
2012: 65.8%
2011: 64.5%

i never really looked at years 2013 and previous, it just sucks because the market as a whole seems to be improving but then we see this drop thats going in the opposite direction of the overall trend. Don't get me wrong though, ill be there in august.

I've seen some T2 and lower-T1 schools with huge discrepancies in there employment % from year to year. GSU has a comparatively consistent track record. On another note, their USNWR ranking is consistent and they were just accepted into the Order of the Coif (not that it means much, but it signals the school's upward growth). I've spoken with a few students and apparently they've awarded quite a few GRA/Deans scholarships this year. There's a huge pull to attract more talent. I predict we break into the top 50 by the time we graduate. ...My point being, I'm sure employment will increase with these improvements, not to mention along with the improving market. See you in August!

I'm not a statistician but it looks like the drop in ft/lt jd required employment charts pretty well on the drop on bar passage. The number of large firm hiring was stable from the year before, and the number of unemployed is stable, it's just the middle where more went into jd preferred or professional jobs at higher rates (roughly at the same rate as the increase of those who failed the bar).

I wouldn't be too afraid by the drop, I don't think it reflects the reputation of GSU in the community.

Is anyone else awaiting a response from the admissions office regarding a scholarship offer? The deadline was last Friday; however, I have not heard anything from their office as of today.

Just trying to determine, if I should be more active in contacting their office. Thanks.

Hey all! I was just accepted into GSU after my new LSAT score (jumped 5 points). I wasn't told anything about $$$ - does that come with the welcome packet, or did I not get anything this late? Thanks

I just withdrew my acceptance. Hopefully this gets someone else in off the WL!
