Oh Jesus, no. I am a "MARTA is smarta'" guy and still use it to this day to get to work. What you want to do from the airport is take either the Red or Gold line north to Five Points, get out there, then transfer to a Blue line headed east toward Indian Creek. Get off at Decatur station. when you get up to street level, look across the station with the staircase or escalator you took behind you. Exit to the left. You will go up a ramp and come out to a loop where buses come in and turn around. If you don't see that circle, you went out the wrong side. Just ask somebody how to get to the other side of the station without having to use another train ride. Once out at the bus loop, go to the right around the loop and walk just a bit down that road on the right sidewalk. You will see a sign for CLIFF SHUTTLE. That is Emory University's FREE shuttle service. The Decatur/CCTMA route terminates there and will pick you up. This bus has stops right in front of the law school as well as right in front of the Emory Conference Center. See http://transportation.emory.edu/shuttles/CCTMA.html for the schedule, as the bus is sometimes a bit infrequent, but reliable. You can also use http://emory.transloc.com/ for a realtime status of where the bus you want happens to be.cecrum wrote:LandMermaid wrote:This is right! From http://arts.emory.edu/plan-your-visit/t ... marta.html.
"MARTA provides an extensive bus and rail system to meet the transportation needs of the Atlanta region. Emory routes include:
#6 Route connects MARTA's Lindbergh and Inman Park stations via the Clifton Corridor and Emory, and also serves Emory's Briarcliff campus
#19 Route connects MARTA's Chamblee and Decatur stations via Clairmont Road and Emory's Clairmont Campus
#36 route connects MARTA's Midtown and Avondale stations via N. Decatur Road"

Rail doesnt extend to most places in Atlanta and MARTA doesnt go to a lot of places. The quoted stop is likely your best bet. If you are flying in then I would take the rail line to the Lindbergh station and transfer to a bus from there. Should cost $2.50 total
Caveat: I prefer the route through Decatur. It may be faster to go to Lindbergh and take a Marta bus. But I would assume you would have to pay twice, plus if you go during rush hour it will take forever in a Marta bus to get to campus. The Cliff buses are cleaner too.
