Haven't seen this one yet, so decided to start it! I know the application doesn't open until 10/1, but is anyone planning on applying?

You should put "applicants" in the title. And put a link back to the compendium

All you have to do is click the edit button on the top right of the original post.
Thanks!

SparkNotes: I think it's a good value, considering job prospects to cost.
As long as you can keep cost low (think in-state tuition + reasonable scholly). Or I guess, whatever you are comfortable with in regards to debt and potential career/salary to service said debt.

Yes, I've applied! I think they do take a bit of time.

Have a bunch of the app done but as far as apps go in general, the UNC app is the most obnoxious. I really want to see what they can offer me but idk if i have the patience for it right now.

Congrats! Also whoa that they already sent scholarship information except for Chancellors (full scholly).
Really on the ball this year. Everywhere I'm applying seems to have moved up their releases significantly.

Hey I got a quick question. So I answered the questions posed on topic 1 and topic 2. However, it was a single essay, with no indication which part answered topic one and which answered topic 2. I know in the personal statement section, it says this is acceptable, however on the instruction it states to be explicit. How did you go about this?

I think you can just put something like "Topics 1 and 2" at the top of your page and be fine.

I received an email this morning saying I am held for further review while they receive more applications. Must admit I am a little disappointed after an admit and significant scholarship at William and Mary last week.

Don't be discouraged, I visited UNC and they explained their application process. I must admit it is very weird and unlike a lot of schools in the way they described it. They basically wait for a while then compare the applications with others, even if there is rolling admissions it doesn't really matter because they give priority first to those with great numbers, then they move to a second phase. So they are definitely waiting for a stack of applications before they make any real decisions on who they want to admit.
