161 LSAT 3.5 GPA
How is the good standing condition unsettling? From my understanding, that is a very low scholarship stipulation. As long as you're in the top 92% of the class, you retain the scholarship.

But yeah, the COL in Miami is insane. No doubt about that one.

Just got in with full scholly. Question: is it normal to call a dean back if their call to you went to voicemail? Or is email the way to go about it?

Got admitted via email this morning. No phone call from the dean.

3.5 GPA, 161 LSAT. People here got offered scholly with around the same number. Will they contact me later for scholly offer? Or is this pretty much it and I pay sticker?

The dean called me the following day for scholarship info and I wanna say the email for scholarship took about a week. You'll probably get a 75%-100% scholarship offer. From looking at last years threads, you can get more money once deposit date gets closer

Yeah I got scholarship notification via email this morning... took about a week. $34,000.

3.92 GPA
160 lSAT

Applied 1/6/2016
Complete 1/6/2016

I really hope I can get a full scholarship. How long are people generally waiting to hear back after their status is "complete"?

You will get some $.

My application went complete on 12/18. Got the admit on 12/30. Ridiculously fast down at the south beach :?

If I don't get a call in regards to a scholarship today, do my chances for one go down drastically?

No. If you're in the 160s, you'll get a scholarship. They will get back to you when they get back to you. They are quick, but I believe the new semester starts this week so who knows when they will call you.

I wouldn't be counting on that full scholarship. More likely than not a 70% to 80% scholarship with the only stip being good standing.

My numbers aren't great for UM but I have very strong softs (i.e. work experience, background) and I was admitted a month ago following an interview but haven't heard back about scholarship money. Is it still possible that I could hear about money in the next 1-2 months once they see who accepts? UM without minimum 20-30% scholly would be crazy :/

Out of pure curiosity, what format was your interview conducted? FaceTime, or in-person?

I am not sure about the scholarship information. It is definitely possible, but I would not be counting on it if you are below both medians.

I applied for it. Didn't get it :(

I believe it should come after admissions. That is how all the schollys have been administered so far

How did they let you know you didn't get it? Email or with the scholly package or what?

They never let me know that I didn't get it. However, I'm assuming I didn't because I've been awarded the deans merit based scholly for 75%. It wouldn't make sense to be awarded that and then get the miami scholars one.

Ok, well you still may have gotten it. I saw on LSN in the guy's notes that he was given ~$96k scholly at first then he updated it a few weeks later that he had gotten Miami Scholars. I haven't talked to him directly just going off the timeline of his notes.

no, but I applied for miami scholars so I'm hoping to hear back for that. Did the dean mention it in your original call?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
