Money is always generous so I can't complain! But I will concede that it is on the smaller side. You can PM me if you want details! I'd just rather not totally out myself on hereDexter97 wrote:Damn, congrats man.....is UCLA feeling generous this year???gobears!! wrote:Unexpectedly got some merit money today!

60k to UCLA,
I am grateful but will try to negotiate as I have a couple schollys to similarly ranked schools in the $110k+ range

Received scholarship offer - generous, but received almost twice as much from higher ranking schools, as well as from USC. Seems a little on the low side.

For those receiving their offers and seriously considering UCLA, current students advised USC offers are the best to negotiate with. I'd assume any offers from Berkeley would be good for negotiating as well. They said that UCLA wasn't too responsive to offers from schools outside California (even if similarly ranked).

This would be helpful if USC hadn't clearly lost my application lolLucyfur wrote:For those receiving their offers and seriously considering UCLA, current students advised USC offers are the best to negotiate with. I haven't even looked at it today I'm pretty proud of myself! Though that might be because I spent 95% of my day being confused in Washington D.C.Lucyfur wrote:looool same, I've given up on checking the status checker.jumbo2016 wrote:This would be helpful if USC hadn't clearly lost my application lolLucyfur wrote:For those receiving their offers and seriously considering UCLA, current students advised USC offers are the best to negotiate with. Also just got an email and freaked out but it was something useless from my sorority. Fingers crossed for scholly from UCLA for me tomorrow!

Hopefully with some of you guys withdrawing they'll consider, you know, reviewing my app. That would be a nice change.James.K.Polk wrote:Got my offer. Generous, not enough, will be withdrawing - hope it goes to someone else!

Just got the scholly email. Not real generous (not surprised), but plan on negotiating if/when I hear back from USC.

No scholarship email for me today. Hoping tomorrow! I saw many people were accepted months later, so I wonder if there's any process behind how they are awarding.

Re: UCLA Law c/o 2019 (2015-2016)
Does this apply to T14 schools? UCLA's offer was generous, but with merit and need combined, it is still not enough to convince me to move across country.Lucyfur wrote:For those receiving their offers and seriously considering UCLA, current students advised USC offers are the best to negotiate with. Re: UCLA Law c/o 2019 (2015-2016)
I think I've heard before that they don't really care about T14 offers or acceptances except for Berkeley. I know a girl that goes there now, so I'll ask her and report backskimmilk wrote:Does this apply to T14 schools?
