so my status went from Your application is ready for review (UR1) to Your application is ready for review (Date change/UR2). Is that good, bad, or could just mean that they are looking at my file?

Probably the third one. But the only logical move at this point is to absolutely lose your mind.

I noticed that. Well I can't say I'm surprised, it was worth a shot. I only say this because I have a funny feeling that being UR2 today while other people are getting interview requests is pointing towards either the undecided or rejected pile, although this is purely speculation/paranoia.

Not quite. I didn't UR 2 today and I didn't get an interview request (yet).

I'm in the same boat. Went complete 1/14, UR 1/15 and have not changed since. I assume this just means they didn't get to my/your applications in this wave and will have to wait until the next one, whenever that might be (next week probably).

Interview request, submitted early January, went UR2 at some point. The email came a couple hours after I withdrew my application

UR2 doesn't mean you won't get an interview request. You can still get one from UR2. Just gonna have to wait a while longer.

UR2 doesn't mean you won't get an interview request. You can still get one from UR2. Just gonna have to wait a while longer.

Yeah, I mean please do not take my theory as gospel at all, I am just trying to make sense of the unknown right now. I have no expertise on the UR2 =/not = interview, so don't give up hope if you went UR2.

I definitely went UR2 a month before I got my interview request. I don't think anything good or bad can be gauged from it.

Have there been cases of people getting dinged without ever getting a UR2 from Cornell?

I had two date changes after complete before my interview request (which came almost a month after the second date change).
