iirc it says explicitly that this is unnecessary.uhwrestler wrote:just realized i didnt post a profile picture on kira talent and since i already submitted my interview i cant go back and post. did anyone else not post a profile picture?

Don't worry! You're over-analyzing things! A profile picture is not necessary, and I doubt Cornell will even notice whether or not you use one!uhwrestler wrote:just realized i didnt post a profile picture on kira talent and since i already submitted my interview i cant go back and post. did anyone else not post a profile picture?

Re: Cornell Law School c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Thank you everyone who posted the questions they got! It was super helpful. The first three Qs I got were on the list (time you helped someone achieve a goal, meaningful life experience, why your undergrad) and my last question was Why Cornell, which I was pretty sure would be a possible question.CallMeEccentric wrote:^^LOL I did the exact same thing you did, and I prepared for every single question on this list. Yet... they still managed to ask me a question I hadn't prepped for, so add this one to the list: "Outside of work and school, what are you most passionate about?"TheKisSquared wrote:In prepping for my interview I went through this thread and compiled final interview questions/advice. I've reproduced it here if it helps anyone else.
- Video Interview with unlimited practice time with sample questions. These sample questions do seem to differ from the actual interview questions. Once you start the timer, though, you have to finish. Each session asks you to record yourself answering four questions. For each questions you have 30 seconds to prepare and one full minute to answer. Suggested dress is business casual (Jacket, shirt and tie). If they can't see your legs, they obviously don't care what you're wearing there but... I'd uh stay on the cautious side.
- Admissions seems pretty generous/understanding with awkwardness, and barely anyone here (if anyone) seems to have been admitted without an interview. That said, do take it seriously. Better to be awkward and prepared than awkward and unprepared, right?
Questions found in this thread (THANK YOU EVERYONE). I tried to only pull questions actually used during an interview.
-Describe the best class you've taken
-what is your favorite book?
-what are you looking for in a law school community?
-what motivates you intrinsically?
-Discuss a time you helped someone achieve their goal. (x3)
-What do you do in your leisure time? (x3)
-Discuss a failure in your life.(x2 or 3)
-Describe your ideal law school.
-Why Ithaca?
-Why undergrad school
-What are your hobbies outside of work and school.
-Name an experience that broadened your outlook.
-What do you hope to attain with an education at Cornell.
-If you could go anywhere in the world for free, where and why
-Advice you'd give to a senior in high school re: picking a college major
-What your expectations are of a Cornell Law education
-Discuss a meaningful life experience
-Besides Cornell Law, what is attractive about Ithaca?
-What are three character traits your friends would use to describe you?
-Describe an experience that has broadened your perspective.
All my other 3 questions were already on the list. It's funny, cuz the passionate one was honestly the one I think I answered the best, but we shall see if Cornell likes me or not.
Again, thanks so much. If we all end up in Ithica, drinks on me!

I'm really glad they didn't ask me why Cornell or why Ithaca. I would not have been prepared to give an interview level response to those.

Re: Cornell Law School c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I'm disappointed I didn't get a why Ithaca or more specific why Cornell question. I have good responses to that (grew up not far from there, visited the gorges many times in my life, etc etc). I sort of tried to hint Cornell in my 'what do you want from a law school community' question, but I think it actually made my answer worseProductofUnreality wrote:I'll buy the second round! I had that question. It was my only coherent response. And my first line was, "for it to be Cornell." No joke. I even paused to laugh after I said it.ProductofUnreality wrote:Hehe. They'd better let you in just for that. I just completed my interview and stuttered some nonsense. Oh well...genericwit wrote:I had that question. It was my only coherent response. I'm really hoping they don't have some way to view the practice videos. I spent all that time spewing nonsense and acting a fool to get comfortable in front of the camera.
