Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

I agree. Also, there is the least amount of info from other current/former applicants. This thread has 22 pages, the other T14 threads have at least double that. If you google "Harvard admissions" or "Columbia admissions" or "Berkeley admissions", you'll get a lot of results. Searching for info on Stanford, not so much.

That said, Dean Deal seems like a pretty cool lady from her blog. I wish she would post more!
What do you think explains the discrepancy in terms of 22 pages v. 145 pages for S v. H? (as if that is a reliable indicator of anything lol). I've just always wondered why S threads here on TLS are outnumbered by H threads, even controlling for class size difference.
It's because the OP is a jackass and everyone hates him. Especially Stanford. As a matter of fact, the OP is probably sitting alone in a dark room drinking at this very moment.

Yale only has 26 pages at the moment. Both Stanford and Yale do not seem to update much until they make a decision. Harvard goes through reviews and interviews. Yale accepts about 250, Stanford accepts about 400, Harvard accepts about 900. There is also the matter of how many actually apply to each school. Lots of reasons really.
The Harvard thread is also full of a bunch of nonsense. I'm subbed here because almost every post is informative. I can't go in there more than a couple times a week.

Don't know which device to nervously stare at so if anyone can enlighten me, it would be appreciated

People were still getting decisions into April last year, plenty of time to sweat whilst nervously at our phones

latest reported acceptance on mylsn was off the w/l on June 8th.

In terms of straight admits, there might be a little more activity between now and the end of the month, but don't expect a ton. Then, first and second week of April the final straight admits will come and then 3rd to 4th week of April the w/l and final rejects will come.

Stanford baffles me a bit, which is probably why I don't even bother discussing them. I accidently said I had been convicted of a felony on my application, have very dingable stats, and yet I did not get cut in the first wave of rejections despite having submitted back in mid-October....
 Wow that's a fun one! I'm guessing you eventually corrected it? It's like the reverse of hiding a C&F issue and revealing it months later haha

I was surprised no one commented on this when I posted it. Yeah I noticed when I got the status checker that they wanted an addendum, called the admissions office and the guy legitimately laughed at me over the phone. I was required to send an email basically saying "yeah I screwed up because I'm an idiot." I remain under review, so I have no idea what's going through their head.
They are thinking one thing...do we want to admit coldmonkey now or in a couple of weeks

Haha that's one way to make your application stand out. I can just imagine the admissions office thinking "That's a bold strategy ColdMonkey, let's see if it pays off"

People were WL -> accepted very late this year (later than LSN indicates). I know more than one person had started at Columbia but got the call from Stanford and moved. So calls were being made at least after Aug 19 or so.

LC, would you tell these people to go and update/create an LSN account so that the anxious unwashed 0Ls out there can have a better sense of when their offers might be coming? LOL.

And, by the way, I 100% support the person ditching Columbia to go to SLS. I wonder if she even said bye to any of her new CLS friends.

I've appeared to survive another round of DLS, unless the checker updates throughout the day as they add more DLSes....
