It's because the OP is a jackass and everyone hates him. Especially Stanford. As a matter of fact, the OP is probably sitting alone in a dark room drinking at this very moment.4thand9 wrote:What do you think explains the discrepancy in terms of 22 pages v. 145 pages for S v. I agree. Also, there is the least amount of info from other current/former applicants. This thread has 22 pages, the other T14 threads have at least double that. If you google "Harvard admissions" or "Columbia admissions" or "Berkeley admissions", you'll get a lot of results. Searching for info on Stanford, not so much.

The Harvard thread is also full of a bunch of nonsense. I'm subbed here because almost every post is informative. I can't go in there more than a couple times a week.robertwabisabi wrote:Yale only has 26 pages at the moment. Both Stanford and Yale do not seem to update much until they make a decision. Harvard goes through reviews and interviews. Yale accepts about 250, Stanford accepts about 400, Harvard accepts about 900. There is also the matter of how many actually apply to each school. Lots of reasons really.4thand9 wrote:What do you think explains the discrepancy in terms of 22 pages v. 145 pages for S v. H? (as if that is a reliable indicator of anything lol). People were still getting decisions into April last year, plenty of time to sweat whilst nervously at our phonesrachelql wrote:Does anyone know when was last year's last batch of admits (not including those being taken off wl)

Re: Stanford C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016 cycle)
latest reported acceptance on mylsn was off the w/l on June 8th.
In terms of straight admits, there might be a little more activity between now and the end of the month, but don't expect a ton. Then, first and second week of April the final straight admits will come and then 3rd to 4th week of April the w/l and final rejects will come.

Wow that's a fun one! I'm guessing you eventually corrected it? I was surprised no one commented on this when I posted it. Yeah I noticed when I got the status checker that they wanted an addendum, called the admissions office and the guy legitimately laughed at me over the phone. I was required to send an email basically saying "yeah I screwed up because I'm an idiot." I remain under review, so I have no idea what's going through their head.

Haha that's one way to make your application stand out. I can just imagine the admissions office thinking "That's a bold strategy ColdMonkey, let's see if it pays off"coldmonkey13 wrote:4thand9 wrote:Wow that's a fun one! People were WL -> accepted very late this year (later than LSN indicates). I know more than one person had started at Columbia but got the call from Stanford and moved. So calls were being made at least after Aug 19 or so.fliptrip wrote:latest reported acceptance on mylsn was off the w/l on June 8th.

LC, would you tell these people to go and update/create an LSN account so that the anxious unwashed 0Ls out there can have a better sense of when their offers might be coming? LOL.lc39 wrote:People were WL -> accepted very late this year (later than LSN indicates). I know more than one person had started at Columbia but got the call from Stanford and moved. And, by the way, I 100% support the person ditching Columbia to go to SLS. I wonder if she even said bye to any of her new CLS friends.
