I'm past neurotic. I'm not even working at work anymore. I have my reports open but I'm either refreshing this thread/the status checker or thinking about a LOCI...doobleykah wrote:Been at it for hours already.ChocoFreeze wrote:time to F5 the status checker...James.K.Polk wrote:Waitlist. Knew it
Don't think I will remain on it long - fortunately, I have other choices that I love.

I went DLS (or the DLS equivalent) this morning, and the status checker hasn't updated since then.ChocoFreeze wrote:time to F5 the status checker...James.K.Polk wrote:Waitlist. Knew it

First waitlist of the cycle.
Was hoping for an acceptance although I wouldn't have ended up going there anyway since in at Berkeley (im from Cali) and Chicago.
Regular decision, no priority track.
Best to everyone, congrats to those accepted.

DLS means decision letter sent/decision emailed? Sorry, it strangely enough wasn't on the lingo thread, but that's what I figured.James.K.Polk wrote:I went DLS (or the DLS equivalent) this morning, and the status checker hasn't updated since then.ChocoFreeze wrote:time to F5 the status checker...James.K.Polk wrote:Waitlist. Haha it's also not what the status checker says at all, that was my laziness in typing. What it actually says is: "Decision made; watch for email" and it's said that since ~9am EST.ChocoFreeze wrote:DLS means decision letter sent/decision emailed? I creeped you a little, congrats on your other offers though! I'm in at UVA but concerned I wont receive scholarship info. I feel like Duke is harder to get into than UVA though, and I was rejected at Berkeley. So I wouldn't be surprised with a waitlist. Hoping for a Priority Reserve. But would be really happy of course if I'm in haha

I believe (and anyone can correct me) that Priority Reserve can only be accessed if you started on Priority Track. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.ChocoFreeze wrote:Ah, gotcha.James.K.Polk wrote:Haha it's also not what the status checker says at all, that was my laziness in typing. And thanks for the congratulations. It has been a pleasantly surprising cycle but (with the stress) I'm glad it's almost over

I understood the Priority Reserve to be basically another waitlist that Duke dips into before the actual waitlist below it. But a lot of people are confused about Priority Reserve so maybe I'm wrong too.James.K.Polk wrote:I believe (and anyone can correct me) that Priority Reserve can only be accessed if you started on Priority Track. I went UR2 today as well; not going to assume anything from it. LSAT > 75, GPA < 25

So do we know what time of day they stop with acceptances? Should I just wait for tomorrow?

UR2 yesterday but didn't get a decision along with some of my fellow 2/16ers. Purgatory is never ending.

According to their website, Duke doesn't do waves. They release a decision as it is made.WhiteHouse wrote:So do we know what time of day they stop with acceptances? Should I just wait for tomorrow?

Re: Duke University School of Law C/O 2019 Applicants
Perhaps some helpful information re Priority Reserve/Waitlist:
Priority Reserve is the waitlist they look at first when trying to fill voids in the class. When filling empty spaces, they look at numbers/diversity/whatever else they need. If they don't find someone suitable to fill that void on PR, they'll turn to the waitlist. PR just gets first look when filling empty spots in the class.

Hope this helps.

Re: scholarship interview, if they ask "Any questions?" at the end of the interview, I could ask questions abt Duke in general (pros, programs, etc), just like I'm doing an admission interview, without being limited to only financial aid questions, correct? Or does it depend on the interviewer (adcom vs FA officer)?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
