I feel like Northwestern was really slow/bad last year and it feels like a total repeat this year...or maybe I'm just being really impatient. Idk.

Today is the 8 week mark for those whose files were complete prior to December 1. I feel like there should've been more than only two waves so far. Kind of a dagger to not have any decisions released today. Hopefully it means that the decisions will be released tomorrow? or later in the week? Hopefully we don't have to wait another whole week. That would truly be a dagger

Of course as a held ED student, this marks week 11 for me since I went "complete". I can't say I'm feeling very confident at this point. Lol but as a good friend of mine says "Never give up! Never surrender!"

I refuse to give up hope and surrender to the gloom that would undoubtedly accompany it. I swear, if I don't get in... I need someone to take up my battle call... "By Grabthar's hammer, by the suns of Warvan, you shall be avenged!"

No, my friend, we get to wait until homie gets back from his vacation to start planning out where we're going to move in five months (or sooner!) and live the next three years of our lives. Luckily, I'm sure that Chicago isn't too big of a town so we don't have to worry about the good/cheap apartments getting snatched up in the interim.

As someone who as dabbled in the Chicago rental market more times than I care to admit, I can say with confidence you aren't missing out yet! I currently live less than a mile from Northwestern and the majority apartments aren't listed until 60 days prior to when you'd begin your lease

That makes sense. But still! I'd like to know where I'm going to be living for the foreseeable future; there seems to be a confederacy of AdComs who have decided that I won't hear back until as late as possible

I think a big wave is coming. There's only been three and two of them were for ED kiddos. It probably won't hurt if you send one, but not sure it will help?

NU uses a combination merit and need aid so you can't see money until you fill out their scholarship applications....

Mine is complete and at the very top of the status checker says "your application is complete and is being reviewed by the admissions committee" or something to that effect. Happened after I emailed admissions about my incomplete status despite submitting the online interview two weeks ago.
