Just got a DLS/waitlist today, so they're still giving out some spots I guess. Staying on and would definitely love to attend!

I'm wondering if the fact that I've not been apart of the latest waves of denials and waitlists means I am being considering for admission.....false hope

Surprised myself by getting on the waitlist. I already put a deposit down at my local t-1 flagship with a full ride. Would anyone consider Pritzker at wait-list price (near sticker) a better investment? I know there are a lot of factors, but just curious for general thoughts.

First: Wow..."Prtizker". And so it begins.GreatBraffsby wrote:Surprised myself by getting on the waitlist. I already put a deposit down at my local t-1 flagship with a full ride. Second: it may be possible to get some money off the waitlist. You never know.
Third: I think whether it would be worth it or not depends on your goals.

So, I just received an e-mail from NU:
What the hell? How about, since I put in time and money into my application, you give me an initial decision and we take it from there? At this point in time, the Admissions Committee is curious about your plans and interest in attending. We want to extend an offer in good faith, however, understand that you may have made deposits or current plans preclude you from considering an offer of admission. I am writing to you today to see how strong your interest is in joining the Northwestern Law community.

Is anyone familiar with the wait list yield? About how many people get accepted off it each year? I think their letter said about 20% but I'm curious what anyone else might know about this.

Tell them you're still very interested, have them extend an offer, and then reject it if you don't want to go there. Fuck them for trying to game their stats. That's all they're doing; they have no other legitimate reason for doing that.alexMar wrote:So, I just received an e-mail from NU:

Also, you may want to consider forwarding that email to ATL. I remember them writing an article about shady admissions practices like this a little while back. Public pressure is probably the only way to get schools to stop acting so shitty to applicants.

I'd also like to know this, if anyone's gone through it already. I'm assuming it will be a carbon copy of the standard video interview, just with different questions.DAFFODILS2019 wrote:Has anyone done the waitlist interview? How was it? Thank you.

When does NU start accepting people off the wait list?

Not sure, but the hold candidates haven't even been kicked to the waitlist yet so I'd imagine not for a while?calgoldenbear wrote:When does NU start accepting people off the wait list?

Thoughts on sending an additional letter of recommendation if I'm on the wait list? I originally sent two.

Anyone have knowledge, historically, when "hold" decisions are released? Thanks,
