The collective TLS demonstration of collaboration and friendship among applicants has to help make up for any blaspheme, right? Here's hoping, anyway...Timantha wrote:Honestly let's make it happen even if we end up at different schools, JS2s be damnedmollywood wrote:If I'm ever lucky enough to get a JS2 I'm so in!Timantha wrote:

What if instead of law school, we write a TLS musical, become super famous, and profit?

I'm pretty convinced that Sondheim wrote Sweeney Todd with law school in mind, so this is not far off. Lawyer's rather nice
If it's for a price
Order something else, though to follow
Since no one should swallow it twice

Most predictions on TLS seem to be rooted in nothing more than optimism, but the HLS Feb. 2/3/4 wave seemed strongly supported by data from past cycles. I wonder if HLS recieved substantially more applicants or last minute applicants this cycle or if any other factors have contributed to this lack of a first week of February wave? Have we seen any other data that might support an increase in applicants to top schools (I know there was the reported increase in 175+ LSAT scorers from Spivey)?
The score increase is pretty much entirely random noise.
There really is nothing you can predict about what will happen in terms of any one particular week.

A little piece of me dies every time the Harvard thread pops in my notifications and I find shitposts about cats, cupcakes and musical numbers in lieu of anything substantive.

For the record the musical discussion was substantive because it's a real reason that could influence attendance decisions!

It would be awesome to go to Broadway shows during all that spare 1L timeLi'l Sebastian wrote:For the record the musical discussion was substantive because it's a real reason that could influence attendance decisions!
But seriously, it would.
And to answer an above question, yes, the rail lines do go from Boston to New York. And it's cheap, and probably only 3-4 hours. But there is a downside: you have to pass through *glances left and right* *whispers* New Haven.
So... +1 for Columbia/NYU? Wait, this is the HLS thread... ummm... at least we have Boston deserts and awesome Italian food?
BTW, slight digression, but for any of you that have already visited, did you stop by the little ice cream shop on the main shop avenue in Harvard Square? I don't remember the name, but I went there for dessert after Italian food on the North End, and had what was by and far the best ice cream cookie sandwich of my life. Maple butter walnut ice cream between two ginger spiced cookies. Phenomenal.

Going through New Haven just means you have take a delicious pizza break on your way to shows in New York. Point regained for Harvard.Bearlyalive wrote:

I'm gonna visit if I get in for sure. I don't think I could emotionally handle the disappointment from the rejection.Bearlyalive wrote:It would be awesome to go to Broadway shows during all that spare 1L timeLi'l Sebastian wrote:For the record the musical discussion was substantive because it's a real reason that could influence attendance decisions!
