Re: NYU c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
i wish i had some insights, but i'm in the same boat as you. UR1 10/5 and was deferred to regular decisionamd3_3 wrote:Any other EDers who were deferred to regular decision still sitting at early November (or earlier) UR dates? I don't understand - if we were "rolled" into regular decision, how was our application not re-reviewed yet? My stats are competitive, and other applicants have been getting in with my range.
NYU seems to update the status checker quite effectively. Could my UR date really not change from November and I go straight to WL in April? I already sent a LOCI explaining that NYU remains my #1 first choice hands down, etc. Any insight is welcome. I still believe in NYU and want to be there more than any other school.
Best of luck to all!

If I get even one more email from nyu that starts with congratulations and doesn't end with scholarship money I'm going to cry.

Lurker checking in here...can people mention as they get in if they received the "we didn't forget you" email? Just trying to gauge what that movement looks like (if anything). I've been UR1 since 12/14 and received the lack of response email. However I'm also a dual degree Wagner applicant, who due to an "internal server error" was accidentally notified of being accepted. But just to the MPA...so there's that. Thanks!

FWIW, my scholarship email didn't even have congratulations in it, just "we have completed our review of your finaid app."Applesauce11 wrote:+1canadianellewoods wrote:If I get even one more email from nyu that starts with congratulations and doesn't end with scholarship money I'm going to cry.

No. And based on MyLSN data, NYU goes start putting people on the Waitlist until April.wittywitless wrote:Has anybody received any waitlist offers at this point? Just to know.

I'm sorry. Did you hear via email? I'm waiting for my ding too, but I think they're having a hard time figuring out how to say "you're not as smart as your alumn parents, sorry," without making it awkward when they call asking them for donations every week.Shib26 wrote:Dinged today. Sorry about the ding. I'm sure mine is coming too. Did they send you the "we haven't forgotten you" email a couple weeks ago?Shib26 wrote:Lol. But yeah it was by emailPurplepen wrote:I'm sorry. Has anyone negotiated scholarships with NYU yet? I wasn't sure if we should reply directly to the notification email or if there was another way we are supposed to appeal.

At the ASW, they said they're aiming to send info out to these people about 10-15 business days after they receive the ding email.lolRCscrewyou wrote:Do we know how long it'll be before people receive financial aid packages if they applied for (but did not recieve an interview for) a named scholarship?

Hmm, I haven't heard either way. Some people had gotten interview invites for the names scholly's, so I figured that was just a ding. Checking in to report an RTK ding this morning via email. Applied 12/31, admitted late January.
Anyone had movement on Furman Public Policy?
