Has anyone started hearing about scholarships/any dillards out there other than the freakish first day one? I creeped on last year and it seems like a lot of people were hearing within a week or two of their initial acceptance.

Seriously??? Stressful, even though I have no hope at a Dillard.

Don't stress the scholly stuff, check out the edit I made to my above post.

Last year a whole wave of scholarships went out in the first week or so of October and acceptances did not start until mid-september. I just figured that since acceptances and one scholarship had leaked out this early, we might start seeing more movement earlier than years past.

Most 1Ls live in Pavilion/Ivy/Arlington Court/Jeffersonian (you have to apply for Jeffersonian at midnight on December 1 though if you want a spot). They're all right next to each other, so being in any of those won't limit you socially at all. IME most 1L stuff has been at Pavilion, but there's a decent number of events at the other places I mentioned too, especially for stuff hosted by non-1Ls. Most people leave Pav after a year I think. It's a rip-off for Charlottesville and the leasing people kind of suck
