Not that I have anything to do with it, but I did call the admissions office to ask them whether doing precisely that would help, and she clearly said that it would not. But if you think that it will, then I wish you the best of luck!!NoBladesNoBows wrote:My personal thoughts (complete speculation) are that the only possible way to get off this waitlist is by retaking the LSAT in June and scoring 2+ points higher. Which I will attempt.
If my memory serves me well, last year's RG thread didn't see much movement at all, while in the 2016 thread there was about 2-4 people who reported (or who were reported) to have made it off the waitlist. So...literarylawyer wrote:Checking in. Sending in a LOCI. But what ARE the odds?
She just said they'll have your score with the rest of your file, since LSAC is definitely going to send it in. But she said that it wouldn't affect this year's prospects. I then asked whether that meant that it wouldn't matter whether I take it or not, and she said, no it wouldn't. That was basically it. I'd call the admissions office myself to double check. After all, this is just what some random person (i.e., myself) on a forum reported.NoBladesNoBows wrote:Did she say anything else about it? The last couple of years' threads have reported second and third reserve groups, which would mean that they do, yes.mekepo wrote:Reserved 2 weeks ago... Does Columbia have different levels of waitlists?
How can you tell what level you are on?1Lofalawyer wrote:The last couple of years' threads have reported second and third reserve groups, which would mean that they do, yes.mekepo wrote:Reserved 2 weeks ago... Does Columbia have different levels of waitlists?
This is purely based on TLS past years' threads:mekepo wrote:How can you tell what level you are on?1Lofalawyer wrote:The last couple of years' threads have reported second and third reserve groups, which would mean that they do, yes.mekepo wrote:Reserved 2 weeks ago... I think it's a generic email/LOCI reminder...I'm held, got the same email, and sent in my LOCI via email and received confirmation of receipt from them.annlean wrote:Any one received a letter to encourage we send LOCI?
Just received one and I am quite confused.
I've attached mine to Columbia LOCI system but still got one.
Not sure if it's common or my LOCI is lost so they sent that letter.
That's weird because I sent them a LOCI as well, got the confirmation email, but didn't receive this one. I wonder why they extended the deadline though.unperroandaluz wrote:I think it's a generic email/LOCI reminder...I'm held, got the same email, and sent in my LOCI via email and received confirmation of receipt from them.annlean wrote:Any one received a letter to encourage we send LOCI?

But they wouldn't treat people on the watlist differently would they?NoBladesNoBows wrote:I didn't get one either and didn't think anything of it until you just posted this...does now LOCI reminder mean that they've pretty much already decided no go? Or maybe it's just directed at YP WLers...SPaya wrote:Hey guys,
I'm new to this. Got reserved on March 12th. I haven't received a LOCI reminder though and now I'm a bit concerned.
Should I call and ask about it?
