looks like people started hearing back from the waitlist at the end of March in previous years- but "now til August 21" is a huge window!

nope im not planning on sending out any LOCIs until second or third week of March. Im so busy with other things I just dont have time at the mo. hv you sent urs out?

Hi All,

I was wait listed on April 4th (applied Jan 26th) and I was wondering if anyone knew about previous years stats on how many wait listed students are typically accepted. Should I be hopeful? Davis is one of my top choices and I am submitting my LOCI today.

They have said that they frequently admit students from the waitlist. LSN also show a significant spike in WL acceptances I think around June for previous years but exact stats aren't available. It also can be up until the day of orientation in August if you're willing to hold out.

Also waitlisted! Did anyone get a confirmation from the Waitlist Response form? I didn't receive a confirm..

Does anyone have a generalized LOCI template I can take a look at? Also, my most recent employer is a member of Congress and he offered to make a call to the Davis or do whatever necessary to help me get off the wait list. Any suggestions?

I spoke to Admissions office w/r/t something else and they confirmed that they received my first response even though no confirmation email was sent. You may benefit from giving a call to check. Hope this helps!

Hey! So I recently got off the wait list at UC Davis, and I'm wondering whether I should visit or not. They're only giving me a week to decide, and any round-trip flights between now and then are upwards of $630 from Chicago. Should I just call them instead of visiting? Should I even consider Davis at this point? My top options right now are Illinois and Iowa. Thanks!

Is Davis offering any financial aid? Have you figured out your COA for each school?

Based on your previous posts, I see that you don't have any geographical preference, but you must surely have some preference for us to consider (e.g., geographical ties, biglaw aspirations, area of specialization, etc.).

Take a look at the LST numbers for each school. Pay attention to the asterisks next to each school's employment score (school-funded jobs).
