Good stuff. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. It also looks like the "social event" ends at 8:30 on Friday night and Admissions set me up at the Crowne Plaza in the arena district (?). Apparently there are bars around there. If anyone wants to meet up let me know! I'm from the west coast and have never been to Ohio before.

buckiguy_sucks wrote:Yeah if you just walk north from the crowne plaza you're at the short north, if you walk west you're in the arena district bars. also bear in mind when i say expensive I mean ohio expensive not real expensive, being form the west coast you'll probably laugh at the prices. If the social event is at the law school you could walk/ take the bus right through the short north to get back to the hotel. Its probably a 30 minute walk fwiw.gobears2012 wrote:Good stuff. Has anyone received more then $16,000 a year? That's the highest I've seen lurking through the old threads of Ohio State and seems pretty meh. I was also at the ASD on March 7th and yeah... they're not too hot on negotiating scholarships at all which kinda blows.

A couple pages back we put some info out regarding housing. I have also seen a few posts on the Facebook page from people looking for roommates.

Got into Moritz this morning. Too bad I already sent my deposit to Iowa. I am totally still interested in Moritz though. I am guessing that if I was held till this late in the game then no scholly money, thats too bad.

What I meant to say was that I got my scholly offer a few hours after my acceptance.Sunshine619 wrote:Sunshine619 wrote:Got into Moritz this morning. Too bad I already sent my deposit to Iowa. Have all increases been for out of state residents? I got denied an increase and at/above both medians. Kind of disappointing since it's my first choice and the cost is still over 100k CoA

Same for me. I even had a better offer from an out of state school, but no success.Tiddlywinks wrote:Have all increases been for out of state residents? I got denied an increase and at/above both medians. Kind of disappointing since it's my first choice and the cost is still over 100k CoA
