Anyone know how useful Tulane's status checker is? I've been on "application received - will notify when complete" for like 2.5 weeks now. Also, anyone have any idea how generous they are with scholly money?

Mine has been that way since September 3rd when I applied. Looking at the email it says they don't even start processing apps for completeness until Octobe 15th, and that process can take up to 2 weeks... So it is very possible there will be no status changes until November 1.

Thanks for the info, just pulled up the email. I've applied to so many schools when I get these I usually just scan it over and look for the status check info. Thanks!

Checking in. Applied 10/3, went complete on 10/17. Hoping that we'll see the first round of decisions coming out next week. Out of curiosity, what did y'all write for your "Why Tulane?" statement?

I absolutely mean this without offense, but why do you all want to go to Tulane? It's a great university as a whole and an even better area, but the job numbers are so, so terrible.

My family lives about 45 minutes away and my husband is a musician. It's not my first choice, but I think it's important to be open and flexible with the possibilities that different schools can present.

I got an e-mail about the application being free until a certain date so I figure why not apply? I have nothing to lose except $28 dollars for the LSAC report! I haven't applied yet, but I probably will soon. Tulane is a little farther than what I am considering otherwise, but I know people love living there!

Got the same thing, just applied for that reason as well.

I'm curious too, I was totally lost. I applied to my top choice school and then a slew of other schools that I thought I had a pretty good shot of getting into in cities I wouldn't mind living in, Tulane was in the latter category so I didn't really know what to say.

I have family ties to the city, so I mentioned that, though that has very little to do with the reason I applied. I just like NOLA, I mentioned how I enjoy the city and respect its tenacity and will for survival.

Plus beignets. If I attend Tulane, someone better stop me from eating at Cafe Du Monde errrr damn day.

Hey would admits mind telling me when they went complete? I am a New Orleans girl so Tulane is a top choice with $$$. I went complete on 10/24, wrote a great PS that had a lot to do with NOLA, and with a 3.44/169 thought I would surely be in with the first wave. I also went to Tulane for undergrad so I am a little sad and surprised I did not have some great news today too...
