Same. Did you get that weird ISIS signup before you got the email that says to ignore the status on ISIS and use the status checker? It made me not quite literally lol.

Yeah, I got some emails, didn't really read them though since it'll probably be a few months before we even hear anything. Lol @ ISIS

So I went to check the mail the other day, as I'm wont to do. What do I find in my mailbox but a very skinny little envelope from the University of Iowa admissions office. I immediately have a panic attack, thinking damn, I've only had my app in about ten days, how can they have dinged me already!?!

I sit down in my car and take a few deep breaths. I've done some scary things in my life and I felt the same way I did before them, steeling myself for whatever it is I'm about to see.

I open it up and they have tentatively classified me as a non-resident and want me to fill out some more paperwork. Whew! I'm relieved, but really Iowa, maybe put a little note on the envelope that says "This is not an admission decision", lol!

Curious to see the stats of people applying this cycle.

I got an email back about the status checker. They said they'll fix it soon and sent me a direct link. Idk if it is a general link or will somehow spread my contact info or something so if someone wants to pm me and let me know it's safe then I'll post it.

Application complete as of yesterday. Stats 157/3.46 Planning on retaking LSAT in Dec.

I considered it, but given that Iowa seems to be quite competitive already with both scholarships and jobs in the overall Midwest I decided against it.

I agree. I think applying to Drake makes sense for kids who can get in for free and who want to stay in Des Moines. There's not much else going on there.

How long did it take Iowa to send you an email after you applied? My other schools have sent me a response with my status check info, but I have yet to hear anything from Iowa and it's been 3 days. Thanks!

I got the status checker a day after, and the ISIS signup information about 4 days after.

So here's a crazy question- does anyone have any pics of the law building/campus in general? I obviously plan to visit but I can only do google maps stalking right now, which is less satisfying than expected

I can't speak for the others, but I am a Wisconsin resident who defected to Minnesota for undergrad (and maybe Iowa for law!)

I have lived in Iowa since May, so I should qualify as a resident. Will know for sure tomorrow or Wednesday.
