Yay, checking in! Can't believe apps open so soon. Looking at the application timeline, it doesn't seem like we'll be getting decisions anytime soon though.

Seems like yesterday we were gearing up for this and now two cycles have passed.
Also the title of this thread brings me back. I went to a reception last year in a secondary and the firm gave me a nametag that said "Chicago Law School." Everybody thought I attended some TTTT, which might have actually been a perception that helped me in that context.
Good luck everyone. Feel free to PM me with questions about applications, UChicago, why Mal Reynolds is such a dick, etc.

Are they still doing Rubys?

That page says it's a 3 year thing, beginning with class of 2014. I can't find any updates, but I know it was $10M lump sum so it must run out some time.

Checking in. Hoping their process isn't as tedious as it was last year.

What was so tedious about an application and a Skype interview?

The process, from my lurking in the 2017 thread, seemed far more drawn out than it had been in previous years. Same with Columbia.

You had to wait a long time? Man life is so hard.

Haha. I didn't have to wait a long time the class of 2017 seemed to, though. I vicariously felt their pain.

What's the word on soliciting fee waivers from Chicago? Just read on Chicago's site that "The Law School is unable to consider individual fee waiver requests." So I have to sit here and cross my fingers for one?
