When did you apply? Do you have any C&F issues?

I applied in February. I have a minor C&F issue, but it was an arrest with a dropped charge from a year ago. So I was hoping that wouldn't have much of an effect.

Sounds like late app + k-jd. I'm not all that surprised. I'd get a job and reapply in September. Your numbers are solid, so you can just focus on working/saving and not stress about the test or getting LoRs or anything

For people who applied as KJDs this cycle, how much of an improvement in their chances do you think would come with reapplying in September, with only about 4 months of post-UG work experience?

BornAgain99 wrote:Your CF issue is probably doing you in. I think a lot of people on these forums underestimate how detrimental the disclosure of an arrest is for your prospects for gaining admission into the top law schools. A mere arrest is often treated as a grievous conviction in the eyes of risk averse adcoms. There are simply too many applicants with an absolutely spotless CF record applying for a limited number of seats in the T-14.
I respectfully disagree. Similar C&F situation (underage drinking), similar stats, different outcome. I wouldn't worry too much about C&F issues -- there's nothing you can do but move forward and address it in your apps appropriately. I'm sorry about your luck this cycle, as someone who took 2 years off, I can unequivocally say that getting a job has been invaluable. You won't regret taking some time off. Best of luck to you!
