I am just wondering what the longest anyone has waited to hear from a school after their app goes complete?
Not counting being placed on the wait list, then accepted, but from complete to an answer from the school be it waitlist, accept/ reject.

Typically, considering your application was submitted as soon as possible, the maximum wait is seven months. Otherwise, your wait may fall anywhere between the time your application was completed to mid-April.

I went complete at Vanderbilt at the end of September and didn't hear anything until I got waitlisted last week, so roughly four months.

Four and a half months, the clock is still running. But its at another reach school, so not unexpected.

Follow up question:
If you have a longer wait period does that mean your chances for acceptance are diminished?

Whoo, yeah, that one is really bad. I've been complete at NYU since 10/15, although at this point i think they're gonna just forget about me till April.

I was complete for 17 weeks at Vanderbilt. I finally caved and sent them an email expressing my continued interest and asking if there was any additional information I could provide. Apparently they didn't like that because 2 days later they sent me a rejection.

you actually think the email is what got him rejected? I think it was either coincidence or simply they just put his file into a pile and they were going to get around to rejecting him sooner or later ....his email just pushed him to the front of the line for getting rejected. To be honest I would rather get rejected soon rather then later

"Complete" status since 1/9 at Oregon. Reading these waiting times make me feel a little better - or worse.

I'm waiting on my last school, complete since 18 September. My first seat deposit is due soon and that final school is about to become a non-option by default.
