Ranking the Admissions Packets - Poll Now Open

This is where we compile pictures of and discuss admissions packets. We now have the whole T14, minus Yale (because nobody actually gets in) and GULC (because I think all they sent was a letter).

Since a poll can only take 10 options, I have taken the liberty of selecting the 10 best from the available pics.

(Sorry if the pics aren't all equal in quality. Did my best with what we had plus some of my own.)

+2. Just one of the reasons why I love them.

GW's was very pretty, and included about 4 different envelopes all within each other, which was pretty funny. Not nearly as substantive though.

Every school should have Obiter Dictum in their admissions packets.

ETA: this might be more proper as a subcatergory of What to Expect While You're Expecting, but this is good info.

They gave out a leather notepad holder two years ago, so I was a little disappointed with this years.

+1 on Vandy's. The bumper sticker could've been a little more Vandy-ish though.

Whichever school sends me a t-shirt I'm in.

This seems fun.

+1 to Vandy.

Alabama's was also pretty (a very nice clear envelope with information seemingly organized by topic), and I appreciated the shirt they sent later on.

However, the winner for me was Michigan's plastic portfolio and flash drive (with a flash drive pocket built in!). I like that they're not wasting a metric shit ton of paper, and I'm using the portfolio to store all of my admissions letters until I find something else to do with it. Reusability FTW!

Syracuse was perhaps a little forward. They gave out a bumper sticker saying Syracuse Law and a tshirt saying Syracuse Law. Pretty nice, I've already worked out in it regardless of whether or not I attend.

Yeah I have to say that the whole "look how many trees we can afford to chop down" thing feels very not now to me.

I received a similar admission package from U of Arizona, neat USB flash drive.

+1 for Tulane University.

The envelope was a tote bag. Let me say that again. A TOTE BAG. You unfolded it, all the materials were inside... and you have a sweet tote.

Example, not mine

I may decline Tulane, but my mother will be repping their law school hard for years to come

ND had a pretty solid packet. SMU's was pretty nice too.

SMUs was the nicest that I've received so far, although UConn was pretty awesome for the fact that there was no packet, only an email saying you're in. But from what I've seen in this thread so far, I've gotta vote for the Tulane swag bag.

Best ones I've received:

Vandy (just plain amazing)
Tulane (sweet bag, came with scholarship, and was pretty informative)
SMU (not a ton of material, but came with scholarship info and was pretty classy)
William & Mary (came with scholarship info, very detailed placement stats)

Most disappointed in...

WUSTL (a top 20 school and all we get is a single acceptance letter and some generic e-mails?)

WUSTL acceptance "packet" definitely left much to be desired. However, their continued follow up matching me with a 1L who went to my undergrad and a faculty member who worked in the same office I currently work at was very impressive. I guess it was just nice to know they actually read my resume...

Is NYU really a pizza box?

Delivered by a pizza man?

Is Vandy's anywhere close to 5 lbs? Or is this just a placeholder in FedEx tracker?

ND's was fine. IUB's non-existent. WUSTL's non-existent (but yes, their follow up has been amazing)

I'm not going to lie, it took me an embarrassingly long time to notice the change Nonconsecutive made to the pizza box. In addition to coming in a neat box which is at least marginally snow proof (very important given the time they sent them out), it also comes with really neat, custom sticky notes.

Duke's awesome little eco-friendly notebook and lanyard were pretty cool however. Harvard's also gains some points for the sticker but loses points for basically just printing their ASW and putting it in a folder.

I kind of wish I had applied to Tulane now...I want a free tote bag!

OP- What this thread really needs is a poll. :D
