I'm just gonna wait a few weeks to do it so I have my taxes done. It's not like I'm gonna hear back from FSU anytime soon lol

I didn't get any e-mail. This is confusing. I got into some mid-range tier 2 schools (ranked in the 50's) with almost full tuition scholarships. I called FIU and they said a decision has been made on my file, which I assume means that I got in. It'd be silly to be accepted from one school, and rejected by a school that sits 50 places below them, into the 3rd tier.

I got an email welcoming me to FIU, giving me an ID and saying they got my financial aid info and when I called FIU they said my application was still pending.

I'm confused

That's the law school you're trying to get into...

I endured the undergraduate process there. I hope the law school process is better. It's a pretty law school on a nice, lively campus.

It's a highly disfunctional campus administration. very bureaucratic and the staff's natural inclination is to see you as a problem they don't want to solve and push you off on someone else.

But for all it's disfunction you can use that to your advantage. Bring people some "cafecito" from time to time, build repore and they will open doors for you.

It's not my top choice. That would be George Washington but I just think it is confusing to prospective students to send them an email welcoming them to the law school prior to acceptance.

This is what it said (I'm sure it's boiler plate):

What you should do Next:

•Check your FIU Panther Email often at xxxxxxxxxxxx

Please be aware that once the semester begins we correspond with all admitted students electronically through your FIU Panther email address.

Nothing yet. I applied in Feb-March to 15 different law schools. Still waiting for nine responses. Got accepted to three so far. My LSATs were not stellar because I took them when I got out of the hospital with a nasty arm infection and a sling (lol) but I'm graduating magna cum laude and I'm a county elected official here in NJ. I'm just waiting to put everything on the table and decide. Is that a bad decision?

I received the same email a couple months ago, but I'm still on Hold. I wish it meant more but sadly it doesn't

Wait listed as of 4/17. I live right by FIU, so I turned in the wait list form in person (not sure if it would help my chances :P ).

Should I sit and wait now? As I mentioned in the UF thread (Wait listed there too), I've read a lot of things online on what to do when wait listed, but these people got wait listed way earlier in the process.

Should I send another LOR right away, or wait till next month?

What were your numbers? Depending on them, it'll be easier to see what the next step is in terms of getting yourself bumped up on that WL.
