At the 75th for GPA and above the 75th for LSAT, definitely going to apply: does American offer a lot of $$ or no?
I can't remember what was said about it.

Thanks for starting this thread!!! Any idea how heavily they weigh LSAT vs GPA?

Be careful with that assumption!! I thought that too last year, but American is the king of yield protection. With over medians, they may think you're using them as a safety and not attend. I had a 167 and a 3.7 and got waitlisted when people with 161s, 162s, and 3.0s got accepted. I would say try to apply to special scholarships and write a school-specific essay in order to demonstrate interest.
I'm not the only one this happened to. Check out the American University thread from last cycle to see a LOT of people in the same situation as me.

When you have a chance like this you'd be an absolute fool not to take it.

Would you pass up NYU for full scholly at AU? Honestly with the jerb market as it is, I'm looking for a T1/T2 with no debt.
Completely depends on what you want to do. If you want to work as a lawyer, either in BigLaw, a Federal Clerkship or Public Interest, NYU is the right choice. If you don't care about being a lawyer, American is the right choice.
Carefully look through their lst statistics.

I appreciate the links and certainly encourage exercising caution when choosing a school ITE, but please make sure you're adhering to the forum rules.
Normal discussion between applicants is fine, but this forum is NOT the place for non-applicants to argue or debate which law schools are worth attending and under what circumstances. The threads here typically involve people who have already decided to apply and are seeking or sharing news on the state of their applications. You and them and everyone else are all free to discuss whether or not attending is a good idea in the appropriate forum, not here.
Starting or perpetuating arguments here about whether a school is worth attending may be deemed trolling and get you banned.
Agreed, my friends dad went to American and is rich, if I can do it for free, why not!?

I wonder if there is a high percentage of people that go from UG there to law school there?

Nice I know someone who goes to UG here and also loves it, she's in some sorority or something and loves tea, I wonder if there is a high percentage of people that go from UG there to law school there?
When you have such a prestigious school in your backyard why go anywhere else?
