if you are waitlisted and are providing an additional rec letter, can they directly mail it to the school or does it still have to go through LSAC?

you can have your recommender mail or email it directly. doesn't need to go through lsac.

Joining the club. Not getting an immediate ding was already something of an achievement but unfortunately it has lulled me into believing I actually have a shot at getting in, which will leave me devastated when I don't.

I was reading other Wait list threads and came across the UVA spreadsheet--so I copied it and made a UCLA one here

Thanks for making the table. Man I hate how google docs always fuzzes up the cursor alignment.

Just got the waitlist email. Excited and frustrated all at the same time. UCLA has been my dream school since the beginning.

A few people have been accepted off the waitlist this week.

I sent my LOCI via snail mail. Would it be too much if I called to see if it was received?

i had this experience with another school - i had my supervisor send in an additional LOR via snail mail. I emailed said school about a week later just to be sure it arrived and was told that they do not have the resources to check each individual file for updated information (?!) it was a school of similar size and standing as UCLA so you could get a similar response - on the other hand, the admissions office at UCLA is incredibly friendly and helpful, so they may be more forthcoming with your request.

Perhaps you can send them an email asking them if they've received it, but also attach it as a PDF to be sure.

I called and ask, they said it hadn't been received (odd since I actually had it dropped off in person). So I am following up with a PDF version. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I expected UCLA to reject me due to my not-too-impressive LSAT scores, so I was surprised when I found out I was waitlisted. I'm really hoping that I get off the waitlist. I actually scheduled a tour tomorrow at UCLA law school, and I was wondering if anyone here who's taken a tour there could tell what it was like. Were you the only one, or was the tour conducted in a group? What questions did you ask?

I want to write a LOCI afterwards as well. TLS recommends sending it physically, but I'm worried that it'll get buried with other mail before anyone can read it. Should I send it both ways, electronically and physically?

Oh, I also heard of people arranging interviews as well. I didn't know this was possible. How does one get an interview with UCLA admissions?
