Penn Waitlist 2013

I visited the campus last week, and don't tell my boyfriend
, but I think I fell in love.
From previous threads, it looks like Penn does use their waitlist, but the amount of use varies significantly from year to year.

The only thing that I think might be taken to mean something positive for us is that we're still five days pre-deadline, and the % Accepted -> Withdrawn number is already creeping up close to the last two years' numbers.
(usual caveats regarding LSN imperfections etc. apply)
I'm just hoping that someone can help me get to mid-May and the rest of the way through the summer...

Just happy I'm not completely alone. Are there not that many of us this year or did we get WL before the wave?

Seems like a bunch of LSN. Penn is quite heavy-handed with the wait list.

Yeah, I get the feeling this is a pretty large, UVA-style wait list. But there's always hope.

I did not. My personal statement was similar to one of the additional essay topics they had though. I also sent an updated resume to them while I was under review that had some specific reasons for my interest in Penn in the email.

I'm not withdrawing in case they do something outrageous like recycle Levys on the WL, but most likely I will be at UVA instead.
