The admissions process is like this every year at nearly every law school. Most decisions (including waitlist) will be out by beginning to mid-May. Admissions are down across the board so I don't necessarily believe it's a "luxury of students" thing. Even after hearing that most decisions will be out by beginning to mid-May try to make yourself think you may not hear anything until late July. It may help.

The only thing I disagree with in your post is saying that not hearing ANYTHING by week 2 of April is atypical to say the least. Almost every school will give you a yes, no, or waitlist by March unless they formally place you on hold. This seems nuts to me. I need to begin apartment shopping, my girlfriend needs to begin looking for a job, etc. It's time for a decision.

I completely agree. I have to find out by next week or else I'll have to pay another school's seat deposit. I really don't want to fork out $300 for nothing.

I already had to drop $300 on a school I have little to no interest. 2nd seat deposits are coming up and I'll be damned if I drop another $3/500.

I'm not saying it doesn't suck or that it's convenient. I'm just saying from experiencing the process before and lurking the STCL admit boards every now and then that this is not abnormal. You may lose some $ on paying fees to hold your spot somewhere else but so are a lot of other people.

I saw that a couple of people applying for part-time got accepted today. I really feel like this week is the week. Fingers crossed!

Just out of curiosity, does anyone else's status checker say 'registration information will be sent out on november 26th"...I'm sure it's not a big deal or anything, just wondering. And has anyone else received their Stanley information, like student number and e-mail address?

I don't have anything in status checker about registration info... but I got my Stanley login on April 4 according to status checker (I did, in fact, receive it about that time).

That date sounds like when registration info might have gone out for spring semester?

If nothing today, we'll get into the 4th week of April before some of us hear anything. This is nutty.

Talking to them IRL? Did they get a call/email/status checker?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
