U Oregon c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Truth: The Oregon status checker is buggy. I went complete 12-21-12 but checked today and now my status is not even listed. Has this happened to anyone else?
What does it meannnnnnnnnnnn!?
I over think everything.

Mine went complete at the end of October and hadn't changed since, so I stopped checking it till today. Looks like I'm still at "Application Complete" but my status updated to 1/14/13. Hopefully that means they've made/mailed a decision.

I haven't heard anything from them. My status went complete 1/4/13. They were waiting for my December score. I wonder if they bother reading apps prior to the beginning of the year.

Generally, Oregon sends their admission decisions pretty late in the game. I applied in 2009, went complete in November, and didn't get an answer until almost May (with some money, even). That was later than most, but you should plan on settling in for a long wait. Good luck!

Too bad they wait so long. I have to have a deposit in by 4/15 at another school.

Do you happen to remember if they emailed or mailed you your decision?

I think I received snail mail acceptance, but that was, like, back in the stone age (2009) so they may have switched to email.
Bobbypin- yeah, I got my acceptance after most first seat deposits were due. It really sucked. I also didn't get accepted until they had filled the Wayne Morse Fellowship positions, which really bummed me out.

The status checker has said Application Complete for over a month for me, but the current status date changed yesterday. Soooooo does that mean they sent me the acceptance letter? ha

haha yeah seriously.nickb285 wrote:Yeah, I got a "Decision entered," whatever that means, updated today. Surprised that they're working the holiday, considering they've taken months longer than other schools to make final decisions.

Just an fyi, I called the admissions office today to ask when the decision letters were mailed. They said that the first batch was mailed yesterday... so hopefully we will here something early next week.

Just curious, for those of you who had a decision entered is there anything under the fees category of the application status? Like a tuition deposit etc. other than just the initial application fee.
Thanks
Thanks

Decision entered 2/18. Nothing listed under "fees" except for my application fee.

Re: U Oregon c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Alright First Post!!!
I’m planning to apply to law school next cycle in Environmental Law; Oregon is one of the schools I’m considering. Along with Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado, Denver, and maybe a couple Top 25’s for a reach, but I have a strong preference towards Oregon because of the option to integrate with a duel degree in environmental science and continue working on some projects that I’m already involved in. If fact Oregon with $$$ would probably make it my #1 ever if I got into better schools.
So here’s my dilemma: Sense Oregon makes decisions later than other schools, would there be any reason/advantage to apply late this cycle (like beginning of April late) as opposed to waiting tell early next cycle. I’m planning to get my other apps in in September, maybe October at the latest… I’m concerned that I’ll have to commit to another school before I hear back from Oregon next year, but it’s not like I can sit on an offer from this year while I wait to hear back from other schools either. Any Advice…
My Stats in case they make a difference: GPA: 3.75, Don’t know LSAT from FEB yet estimating (162-164).
