LSAT - 159
LSAC GPA - 3.01

I'm also a URM with several years of work experience, but I'm not sure ow much of a factor that played. My LSAT is over their 75%.

I understand about the third LOR.

I had given up on one of my writers and found someone else. Luckily the original writer was able to come through giving me the third.

It was a fluke that I had three LORs...one professor flaked but then a couple of weeks later ended up submitting. By then I had gotten a sub LOR and bam - 3 LORs. I got in in December, Lori's been great with responding to emails (I had a bunch of questions and my mail got lost in the system). That reminds me, a professor in the Environmental Law dept (I had put it down for one of my interests) had called me over the break to see if I had any questions, which seemed like a nice touch.

I haven't been to Missoula, but I've been to Montana twice - once to visit Glacier National Park for 2 weeks and once to go skiing at Big Sky. From the drive into Glacier National Park seems like a real beautiful place.

I think I'm going to visit mid-March, check out the area and see how well I can handle the weather...I'm born and raised in the deep south haha.

Has anyone gotten financial aid or scholarship packets with their acceptances? I too am thinking I'll prob be too lazy to get a third LOR (it took a lot of wrangling to get my 2...my professors are busy people), but if they're generous with scholarships...maybe I'll consider.

I'm still waiting to receive my letter, but the email I got today said they would send out scholarship info after the new year, so I imagine we willl be hearing something shortly.

Has anyone heard if they are generous with in-state tuition waivers?

Accepted 1/12, still debating between UM, Gonzaga, and Seattle U.

I got my undergrad from Montana though so if you have any questions/concerns about Missoula and the surrounding area I'd be happy to answer! Send me a PM

In via email, status checker, and I got the letter in the mail last week. I was given similar info in regard to scholarships but I haven't received anything yet.

Any updates out there?

How long after you submitted your application until you were notified of your acceptance?

Took a tour and visited the school on Monday. Met with Admissions Dean, Dean of Law School, a Professor, sat in on a class and had lunch with a 2L. It was a good visit and Missoula is a nice town, I was surprised at how much "at home" I felt. I can't describe how awesome it is to sit in a class and look out the window to a gorgeous view of the mountains. I really liked the atmosphere (small class, community like atmosphere), professors, and students. It's a tad far from family (I'm from the south and almost all of my family is still in the south) and out of state tuition is craycray. Still waitin on scholarship.

Missoula is a wonderful town, and montana as a whole is extrememly friendly and welcoming. I took my tour in decemember and was amazed at how much time Lori took, (my guide had cancelled due to illness, so she walked me around) I am sure she had much better things to do, but was grateful of the extra effort. Made me feel that I was making the right choice.

Applied March 8th and was informed my application would be reviewed with the second wave which gets results back by April 15th. Some of you received letters within 2 weeks, but I am still waiting! This probably isn't good news?

I am in the same boat. It is obviously not as good as being in the first wave. However, from what I have heard there is still a good opportunity. The applicants that get accepted in the first wave, are the ones that are most likely to turn down UM for better schools. Or at least that is how it has been historically.

So I would not give up hope.

I was given a 5k scholarship for the first year, then given an additional scholarship that basically gave me in-state tuition + the 5k (so it would have been 2250 for the first year). But I withdrew today. Makes me way sadder than I thought I would be.

after taking into consideration my family (all in the deep south) and my SO's job prospects (he's quitting his engineering job that he enjoys a lot to move with me) i decided that Missoula is a little too far from home and not the best market for an engineer.

i loved the school when i visited, loved the students, the atmosphere...this withdrawal makes me the saddest.
