I'm slightly below median but figured I'd give it a shot anyways. It' definitely a reach school.

I'm surprised this thread only has one comment!

I went complete about a week ago and am still waiting back. One of my top schools. Anyone know how Case's history on scholarships: are they generous with tough stipulations or the opposite?

I'm not sure about the stipulations, but from what I gather on LSN they're pretty liberal with the scholarship aid.

I applied on Nov. 29th and am currently "Committee Review - Stage 1 of 2".

I've been admitted by higher ranked schools (one significantly so), but if I can somehow earn one of their bigger scholarships, this would be a real possibility. My grandfather is an alumnus from Case Engineering and can't stop raving about the place.

Hopefully stage 2 and a decision comes somewhat soon.

Case has no stipulations on their scholarships. As long as you don't flunk out, you get to keep it.

Sorry. I just saw this. 3.2/161 at the time of application.

Just wrapped up my interview. She was super sweet and helpful. Case is looking kind of sexy right now. I just hope Case is super generous with the monies.

Committe Review Stage 1 of 2 as of today.

also went under review stage one of 2 on 1/7/13. my numbers are also 3.2 161 so fingers crossed!

Did anyone get an email invitation to a reception w/ the dean in Los Angeles on Jan 22? Is this for ALL applicants?

It says "Case Western Reserve University School of Law is hosting a student reception in Los Angeles on January 22, 2013. The reception is one in a series of receptions designed to give you an opportunity to meet Dean Lawrence Mitchell and some of our local alumni. Additional receptions will be held in New York and Washington, DC. We hope you will be able to join us for one of these receptions."

My application still shows as complete! am I getting my hopes up for nothing??

It seems pretty last minute to be sending out an invite for 1/22 on 1/10....I don't live local to LA....

I received that as well, I'm in the Bay Area and in stage 1 of 2 for review. I'm most curious about when we're going to have an email about interviews. It seems pretty late to have heard nothing about this, especially since it seems like it's a part of the process for a good deal of applicants.

I'm quite surprised that the process is going so slowly...and this invite doesn't even give us much time to plan for travel if we have to fly to LA. Are you thinking of going?

I am also in stage one of two but I did not receive any email about this. Now I'm freaking out thinking that this can't be a good sign.

It's on a Tuesday night, and alumni are invited. I'm sure it's more of a prospective applicants event than it is a interview type scenario. I'd love to attend, but with the cost of the trip and the work I'd need to miss, I probably won't.

On the Rise: I wouldn't worry about it. If you're closer to NY or DC, I bet you get one about those events later.

I think the email was sent to people pretty close to Los Angeles. I'm not even in review yet, so I wouldn't worry.

*edit* I just read through this thread and some people are saying that they are "in review" my status checker still says "complete". What's going on with my status checker?

Had my interview about two months ago or so. It was presented to me not as a part of the admissions process, but rather an initiative that was spurred on by the Alumni Committee in order to reach out to applicants in the attempt to give them a better understanding of what Case has to offer.

I was told it has no bearing on your admissions process (barring something like scheduling a meeting and not showing up) and ended up, for me at least, being a discussion about the nature of law as a career as well as the current state of the legal employment market. I do believe they fill in a little survey about you, but again, was told it has no real bearing on decisions.

Now in Committee Review stage 1

Can anyone tell me how long they were in stage one? and then how long in stage two? And then how long before decision reached?
