Figured I'd get this started.

Had an odd occurrence today on my status checker and wondered if I was alone. My status updated to "File Pending for Decision" -- and the status date says 11/30 instead of today's date (11/26). Found that strange. Anyone have any idea what that means? Just a fluke/typo?

My status changed to this today as well. According to last year's thread, this means we should be able to expect some decisions within the next day or so

Oh wow, that's good to know. Hadn't thought to look for last year's thread. Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow (or in the next few days) then.

I didn't want to get your hopes up too much in case it didn't happen, but last year some people reported this change on a Monday and started getting emails as early as Tuesday afternoon. I'm really hoping to hear something tomorrow!

Honestly, I've applied so many places, I'm not sure what my "top picks" are, but I'm seriously considering Kentucky, especially if the money is right. I'm a mega-splitter (2.8/168) so I cast a pretty wide net. I used to live in Lexington as a young kid, and loved the area. It's also within three hours of where my family lives now. Only downside: not sure I want to practice in Kentucky, and it seems like employment prospects are extremely regional.

My date changed to 11/30 - File pending for decision! Hopefully will hear some thing this week

Should I assume nobody has heard anything yet? Maybe that 11/30 is the date we'll actually get decisions.

Status update to "decision rendered." No other communication yet, but the checklist now includes official transcripts being received and tuition deposits as well. So it looks like an admit. Hopefully some scholarship info will come soon too.

EDIT: Just got email confirmation. Says all apps will be considered for scholarships starting in January.

Got my admit letter in the mail today. Scholarship info will be coming in January. My letter also had a nice handwritten note at the bottom from the interim dean of admissions concerning parts of my personal statement and background they liked. I thought that was a really nice touch.

Hey guys, quick question about your status checker. Mine switched over to "Decision Rendered," and the Requirements List now has stuff about transcripts and tuition deposits. Is that a sign at all?

I haven't received an e-mail or anything other than that.

EDIT: What I meant to say was that has anybody seen that checklist but then been denied? How long was it before you got a piece of mail, whether it was snail or e-mail? Should I expect a call or something or what?

I got the email a couple days after the status checker update, and the snail mail about a week later. Judging from your requirements list, I'm guessing you're in.

I had the same update on my status checker today and just got the admit email. I bet you'll be hearing the same shortly!

Pretty big surprise, as I was very much a border candidate (154/3.92). I had a decent resume and all that stuff to add, though, so I guess that helped me out quite a bit.

I'm excited. Already looking at housing options!

Does yours say 2 official UG transcripts required? Is that a thing most schools do?

I would expect a decision this coming week if I were you. My status changed to that a few days before I was accepted.

As princessofpower said, this just means they're waiting to make a decision on it. I suspect it means they've received it and properly sorted it into a pile or something. I'm not entirely familiar with how they make admission decisions, but this is the last step until a decision is rendered.

When they make one, that's what your status will change to, "Decision rendered." When this happened for me, I didn't immediately receive an e-mail, but they did change my required documents on the lower right to the 2 UG Transcripts and the two seat deposits.

I received my e-mail several hours after my status changed to "Decision rendered."

I also received my scholarship letter today! I didn't get a whole bunch, but I got more than I expected to get. My LSAT wasn't as good as it should have been, so any award is better than no award. I don't really have an idea as to how stingy UK is, maybe somebody else can provide some insight into that.
