Yes in that it is the best school with the best employment prospects that I have a teeny teeny tiny chance of getting into. I am very grateful that I was waitlisted and not outright rejected. Here's to hoping they build a lot of their class from the waitlist!

Checking in. Applied ED and was hoping I'd be celebrating over Thanksgiving but alas, my hopes were dashed. I guess it was a long shot. Happy Thanksgiving to you all and good luck!

I will almost certainly be withdrawing from the waitlist but I want to hear back from my other schools first. Good luck to all.

Checking in. WL'd earlier in the month. I sent a LOCI last week... Guess we'll just wait and see how this goes!

Waitlisted early Jan. UVA is my top choice, but now that I have been getting very generous scholarship offers from other schools, I think I would have a hard time justifying going to sticker and causing my fiancee to uproot/start over. I plan on sending a LOCI later after more scholarship information appears.

So glad someone made a thread! I was waitlisted a couple months ago. I have been holding off sending my LOCI until I hear back about a promotion so I have more exciting things to report.
