" We made offers of admission to three wait listed candidates this week. We also released a number of candidates from our wait list, recognizing that it is unlikely that we will be able to make a large number of additional offers.

Does everyone remaining on the waitlist already have other T-14 acceptances? I see that most who posted after Dean Richard's last e-mail are in at either GULC, Cornell or Duke (Myself included). Just wondering what the competition's like at this point...

I'm settling for a lowly t15, sorry to say. I really don't think they are actually booting people from the WL.

It's surprising to me there hasn't been more movement off the waitlist. You'd (I would anyway) expect more trickle up from the big HLS class fill at the end of May. Any ideas why so little movement? Of course, it is a great place to live and an excellent school so perhaps many just aren't that attracted to CNP for that reason. And there is that 40% instate enrollment requirement which must effectively reduce the movement possibilities.

Of course, it is a great place to live and an excellent school so perhaps many just aren't that attracted to CNP for that reason. UVA looks like it filled its class up early - a lot of offers made before March. One possibility is that they over-admitted in anticipation of some deposited students getting off waitlists at higher-ranked schools. Dean Richard said a few months back that they "overbook" scholarship money, expecting that some will decline and go to other schools, so it wouldn't come as a surprise if they did the same thing with seats themselves. Moneywise, it also seems like UVA was particularly generous with median and above-median applicants, so maybe they won more money battles with peer schools than usual.

Anyways, if spots do come open, I hope they go to all you TLSers still riding the WL.

Good thoughts. They seem to play the game very well. I'm content with my current school unless I get an offer off the WL to your school!
