I'm trying not to sound entitled here, but people with much worse numbers than me have been getting way more $$$ than I currently have

I guess they just "ran out of money" last week? I wish I'd known this was a possibility or I'd obviously have tried to negotiate earlier.

Just got an "Early" award from WUSTL. They say its a loan that they ask you to pay back if you can. Pretty cool, and unexpected.

But the game's not over yet: first deposit deadline will pass on Monday, and money will free up.

It's still all quiet here after close to 3 weeks since my request. They responded yesterday, so I know they haven't forgotten me. I'm just really confused about what is happening right now. Either way, I'd just like to know where I'm going already.

Also, sorry WokeUp, that stinks.

It's an award named after 1894 WUSTL grad Marion C. Early. $5k/yr (for me, at least) on top of whatever other money they offer, with the specific language of the bequest noting it's a 'moral obligation loan.' In effect, they'll bug you to pay it back when you're able after graduation, although there's no binding obligation (it won't affect your credit score or anything).

Ugh, Nebraska's first deposit is non-refundable.

I have to make the final decision now. I don't feel like blowing $200. I've been trying to make this damned decision for months now. I'm so tired of it.

well wustl is refundable so.. I'd say it's worth it if you need more time to think it through.
