I still haven't heard anything and my page just says "application complete" updated last week. I thought for sure I'd have a decision by now. Any idea when they have to let us know by?

Was told today that there is no set time frame for scholarships, but that they hope to have them out before the April 15th seat deposit deadline.

I'm feeling similarly about certain other schools. Right now, the value of just making a decision already is looking really nice compared to some hypothetical whopper of a scholly coming in on Seat Deposit Eve.

I needed a checking account ASAP when I first moved to SF, and BofA fit the bill. I should switch to Ally or something, but it would take so much effort.

Trust me, it's worth it. I used BoA as my primary bank for the longest time and Schwab is just so much better. No maintenance req's, no ATM fees worldwide, better interest rate (though still essentially negligible), connected brokerage account, excellent customer service... the only downside is a lack of physical branches but between mobile check deposit and no ATM fees, it's not an issue.

+1 on Schwab. Just opened a brokerage account with them and they're awesome. Hundreds of ETFs with $0 commissions and you get a debit card to draw cash from the account at any ATM in the world with no fees. Legit.
