I got an email this afternoon that I hadn't yet completed WUSTL's financial aid form (whoops). This has to mean something regarding scholarship decisions coming out soon, right?

It was more of a friendly remainder than a missed deadline. Don't worry.

Also it takes <10 minutes. Just have your UG financial aid info available.

The breakdown of loans was difficult for me. I honestly have no idea where junior year went.

"Other loans and resources" = includes grants? Because as of now it looks like my undergrad didn't charge a single dime.

That's what I assumed.

ETA: I didn't have a working list of my outside scholarships, so my ugrad looks like a state school in terms of costs... but... oh well, I honestly could not get an accurate count.

Well shit. The section was called "indebtedness," so I just went with that and zero'd that baby out.

I mean, it's WUSTL. I think it's just a formality.

LOL at the last page where it asks how much of total costs you'd need in loans. How do you say ALL (minus merit) without sounding desperate?

Oh yeah I forgot to update that according to the fin aid office, parent loans go under 'Family and Personal Contribution', not 'Other Loans and Resources.'

Yeah, I was confused by this as well. I ended up putting all of the COA minus my estimated summer income.

I checked my Mint account to get some figures. That is honestly the most depressing fucking site ever. I am worth less than nothing. Literally.

Is there anywhere online you can get that? I'm a few years out of ug and have no idea where to find it.

I trolled my UG's financial aid until they helped me. And then I went through old tax forms to double check. It was kind of a bitch and it took about 2-3 weeks to get it all together :/

Finding my work study aid was the biggest ordeal. That was a REAL doozy. Luckily my former employer had the figures.

I guess somebody at my UG newspaper found out that I'm probably going to WUSTL and just contacted me to write an article about it, LOL. Apparently it's newsworthy since I go to a lolstate TTTT. I'll be sure to give a shout out to all of my ETERNAL NEVER OFF THE FIRST PAGE WUSTLers in the interview.
