Also, I've already decided that, if I end up at WUSTL, I will only refer to St. Louis as Nellyville

Compared to my offers from other, higher ranked schools, my OU offer isn't impressive either. It will make my decisions easier though.

Yeah....I thought I would've gotten something close to what you got. Seems last year they were more generous.

As a kid I heard so many times "wtf why don't you like Nelly? he's from STL" as if that in itself was a reason to like somebody.

But he is like one of the only people of any relevance to come out of this town so I guess I can't blame the homerism.

I agree increasing selectivity wasn't their ONLY reason for doing it, but if it was one of the reasons, I think it's brilliant and hope it works.

I've been looking at past cycles, and I actually think I have a decent shot at admittance.

Would be nice to have a second peer school to UMN to potentially negotiate with, and if the offer is correct, attend.

Yes, my numbers are real.

Not proud of my GPA but I had a legit reason. I applied and became complete in early February. Got the email today. Really really surprised by the fast turnaround, especially since I've seen little movement from a few schools I applied to back in early November.
