Just got an acceptance package from another similarly ranked school in the mail. I'm going to take this as a sign that WUSTL will be moving this week to make me forget all of these other haters.

Hey Cuse, you may know the answer to this question. On the previous financial aid section--where would we put scholarships?

PERKINS
Subsidized Stafford
Unsubsidized Stafford
Family and Personal Contribution
Other Loans and Resources

I am thinking under other loans and resources...what do you all think?

For a period of one week, I've decided to report the sender of every non-scholarship e-mail to the police. Justice must be served.

ETA: what's that, Groupon? 50% off? Better hope you can use that discount on your bail.

GWU is a pretty decent biglaw feeder if that's what you're really after. The main criticisms levied against GWU are 1) it's located in a high COL area but tends to be very stingy with scholarship money and 2) in recent years it has put a ridiculous amount of people into school-funded positions.
I am not sure if this also plays a big role but GWU has a top IP program. So (correct me if I am wrong here) alot of students placing in these positions are probably from said program. I do not think I am too far off as Santa Clara University is also on the list and I am quite certain the only students who get big law from there are IP ones.

I work at a top Valley law firm. We do take some non-IP folks from Santa Clara, but it's a rarity. Our peers do too. Again, must be better than top 15% (even 20 or 25% will get you to midlaw if you're looking at corporate from Santa Clara). Just FYI--I've been bouncing around the Valley for 5+ years, so I don't think I'm mistaken on that (and have friends who have graduated within the past 1-4 years from Santa Clara too).

I called and asked about scholarships today and they said that they were "hoping to get them out this week". Not sure if that's news to anyone, but I just wanted to pass it along to you guys.

Hoping? HOPING?!

Good thing I stress not-eat instead of stress eat, or this week would be horrible for the waistline.

To lighten the mood, I received my flash drive today. It seriously made my day. For that reason I can wait until.... Wednesday for scholarships. After that and I may also go insane though.

I am not somewhere that I could check it at the moment but I want to say last Monday. Received my physical admit packet Friday or Saturday.

Considering how numbers-based their decision process is what could possibly take them so long?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
