well you probably won't get a lot of money, but the market ties and instate tuition will def make it a bit better. I'd be optimistic if I were you. I think you'll likely be in. I'm surprised to hear about the 168/169 and 3.9's that didn't get in. Were there other deterring factors? I was surprised too. I know he applied mid-Janurary, might be why. But he had lots of softs (volunteer work in community organizations, foreign languages, study abroad etc.). Retaking is a good idea, if you think you can pull off a jump. If you're not registered for Dec. you might talk to the school and see if an improvement in Feb. will help you get some scholly $$.
